Wonderful You!

- The first song made in my new studio setup right before Christmas 2020. It took longer than usual, because of Christmas and New Year celebration as well as other family matters that ate up most of my time. Plus I was also keen on shooting the studio video and using the song for that video too. I used most of the synthesizers somwhere in the song and mastered using the Silver Bullet and Ozone 8.

This track with the title makes me think of a show about health for kids in the 80s.
"We'll be looking at nutrition, today on Wonderful You!"
I love your music, Anders. It comes from such a beautiful place. I get the feeling you have so much optimism and see the best in everything. It’s so rare, I love it. The kind of music you make from that viewpoint is so uplifting and really helps me. Thank you. 🙏
Good cheerful music to start a better year. Thanks!
Close to tears. You are awesome and it's an understatement. I have no words for the joy and beauty you bring to the world. The amount must be staggering.
Wow, thank you! Glad to hear that. :)
This is CRIMINALLY underviewed!
Nice little plug for the 8-bit Guy in there. I hope David appreciates it! Belated Happy New Year.
Way to start off the new year.
NO, you are wonderful!
I see you're already at 88MPH :D Very cool!
The break at 3:07... absolutely love it! The stereo imaging in the high end is amazing.
Holy hot damn! 2:34-3:07 is some of the best I've ever heard!
I feel again like a kid back in the 80s whenever i hear a new track from you. Perfect music, thank you.
Great work Anders. I just love your productions.
Wow! You've outdone yourself, yet again. Volume 5 is incredible! I experienced déjà vu from a few tracks, reminders of songs I hadn't heard since the 80s. For example, this track has to be my favorite track from my favorite Retro Grooves album, Vol 5. Wonderful You! has some chord progressions that remind me of a couple of songs from the band, Crumbächer, which makes me so happy to hear. Thanks for the magic of music. I am off to buy the album.
Thanks, really glad to hear that! 🤩
I'm impressed by how many synths you were able to squeeze into that Anders. :P Awesome song btw! :)
Thanks! Yeah, it’s a lot but still not all of them. ;) It’s fairly easy when they only play a little here and there though. Some layers and some effects.
Nice song, great playing
Love this, has a great energy to it.
Wonderful Me! Wonderful You! So nice to hear you once again Anders - Don't stop! You got this! Your hard work is paying off! Much love
i love the sound of the Roland - D-50
Absolutely phenomenal track! Love the optimism and the spirit of it.
Applause 👏 epic!
Wow this is such a fun song!
So sweet! Thank you!
Love how the track has plenty of arpeggios... I'm a sucker for synth arpeggios of all sorts! Great work and it sounds fantastic.
Really nice track
It must be nice having talent.
There's so many bells and whistles to the song and I love it
I like the optimistic touch of this song. It came at the right time for me.
Wow, that's a so much used gears!!
Excellent tune!
🌞🌞🌞💛💛💛👍👍👍
Great! Thank you!
You are welcome!😎🤘🏼
It’s Groovytransrhythmatonalmelodicalinguistifantastical, and I think I will listen to it again.... and again!
Welcome back!
Starting off 2021 with a smile on my face!
Yeah New Chilling Track👌
Beautiful and brilliant
U2 ! 😄😉
Great masterpiece. Congratulation! I am in love with this song!
This is such a good track. I couldn't wait for something new and this didn't disappoint at all. Fantastic stuff!!
Love the song! Very positive start to the somewhat grim year and definitely made my day. Supporting you via Patreon from now on. Regards and all the best!
Super awesome arrangement. Your music makes me feel very good!
Great track, loving your work! and love the signed Reface CS by David Murray...
That is amazing music sir! Blew my mind!
Nice track Anders, well done. A lot of synths were used in this track wow!
Sounds good! Looks good! And the editing is as always 👌🏻
2:29 this keyboard looks familiar, oh wait, 8-bit guy!
Love it, happy new year. Just love the stuff you do
It's wonderful! Thank you
Cheered me up no end after our 3rd Covid lockdown was announced last night by Boris. Love from Derbyshire. Any chance of a magical sound shower remake at some point when your creative juices perhaps aren't flowing as well as they most definitely were here. 😃
Thanks! Sorry to read about that. Got a little extra restrainer here too for two weeks or so. Stupid people defying the requests/rules during Christmas! 🙄
Anyway, got a bit of work ahead of me, but OutRun is on the list indeed. Good track. ;)
@@AndersEngerJensen Outrun!! 💥
Dieter Falk🤗
❤❤❤💥💥💥
Groovy!
Nice work man
SLAP
4:12 For some reason my brain made me briefly see a cat's paw instead of a human hand reaching for the pitch bender.
Haha... I can see that. If anything, it would be a dog paw from Loppa or Emmy though. 😂😄
How did you manage to learn synthwave stuff?? This is so awesome!!
Thanks :) Well, learn and learn... it’s basically just years of doing my thing until I got better at it. Mostly imitating other music and musicians, copying what they did, talking to musicians, sound engineers, reading books and magazines/articles, watching tutorials and spending time practicing. :)
Try 1.5 speed, its really good
Dude this is the shit!
So we know what happened in the new studio! :)
Psssst, it's the ALESIS HR-16 and not an AKAI HR-16 in your description....oops! I actual own one and recognized it right away on the first video shot of it with only two buttons showing...lol. Your music is outstanding, memorable of late style, and very professional. I am surprised however in your zillion dollar list of keyboards in your description box that the Roland Juno-106 didn't make your list. I am quite surprised as it is a great synth.
Haha, good catch! That was a copy paste error. 😁😂 Fixed!
Thanks, glad to hear you think so. Try to just keep the good stuff from those days alive.
I would have had plenty more of those bad boys if I could afford, but the Junos, Jupiters and the other more or less holy grails are so damn expensive that I really couldn’t afford spending those amounts on one single keyboard/module. But maybe in time, I’ll come over something. Plus I have so much similar stuff that I think I can make do with what I got. :)
@@AndersEngerJensen Haha, good job Anders! remembering that long list Anders, I would have to agree with you that you can indeed make do with what you have...lol. You know, you could always see if they have a boutique module as an option which would be less costly. But what you do now and the massive amount of sounds available to you right now is plenty. I remember back in those days, (I'll be 65 in a few months) and most of us would have a main controller and just buy the modules.
My friend had the Roland PAD-8 to trigger the drum machines. We each had a Tascam Synth Cassette 4 Track for recording and an MSQ-700 for a sequencer until Amiga and Atari came out with the software version. Fun times back then. It was also a time of ground breaking sounds and designs. You are more then welcome to listen to my music if you wish. They are mostly ambient, cinematic, some with my guitar work.
Excellent! How many synths can be used in a track? ALL OF THEM!
I discovered your track thanks to the last 8-Bit Guy video czcams.com/video/d3NIe1jTZMc/video.html
He seems to use a 8-Bit version of it. Is this version uploaded somewhere ? 😍
It’s the same version, just instrumental. He may just have been using the first mix, which has a slightly louder beat at the beginning, but otherwise identical. Didn’t make any 8-bit version (yet). ;)
