3rd January 1989 - Around half an hour from The Morning Programme hosted by Richard Keys. Just to note I've had to snip Lizzie's morning workout due to the music played
In Jeff Stelling’s autobiography he says he hated working at TV-am as they didn’t care about Sport, he left TV-am not long after to join BSB, like Richard Keys. Also worth noting that Stelling reports on future colleague Paul Person there. It’s hard to judge watching this on an iPhone but that Christmas tree had seen better days.
Who was the weather girl? Carol sounded and looked very like Christine Bleakley, although obviously it was not Christine who would have been nearly 10 years old!
That guy at the start sounds just like Den Watts... I had to laugh at Lizzie the keep-fit person having such huge hair and heavy makeup - kind of defeats the purpose of a grueling workout. She has presence though - she reminds me of a Redgrave.
He remained with TV-am until the summer of 1989 when he decided to leave and start a new life for himself in Australia. Before he left he told TV-am management that Lisa Aziz who was his deputy for news reading should take over as the lead news reader for the company which she did.
WOW. Russel Grant's foretelling also remains true to THIS moment in time. He was so clever.

No. You're right. The tree does look shit... (I admit that you couldn't really call this a quick comeback).

Since you didn't watermark it, can I re-up the commercials?
Sure be my guest

I thought that Honeycombe left at the end of 1988. Didn't know he wore glasses as well.
