Honda is a good company for motorcycles
You meet the nicest people on a Honda. Iâm a Harley ride myself though đ
Japan does not make many bad bikes all solid built and low maintenance
@@BrandonJohnson-yb8xn lol I remember that ad! okay well I was not alive when that came out, but still.
@@BrandonJohnson-yb8xn is it just a coincidence that
@@RickyLafleur10 both people here are Brandons
I picked this up yesterday in all black with quick shifter/auto blipper, carbon parts, Full akra exhaust and itâs been flashed and makes 191HP at the wheel. 2019 model, only done 2000 miles. Canât wait to pick it up next week
OC here I absolutely need the bike to excite me. I'm not just an A-B rider anymore. When I was commuting I didn't care, the ride was enough, but now that I don't commute 2 wheel life is about excitement and the bike is part of that.
Dude said he canât be thrilled or excited while riding a 1000. Have people lost their minds? I had a 2017 fireblade and it was disgustingly fast. NO ONE needs 95mph in first gear. Though, then again, I have always disagreed with the big dude in the car so whatever đ
Yeah but 2021 is light and feels like a 600cc. Is over kill but you have the power if you need it. Usually 600 would be plenty speed and perfect weight but again this 1000RR is light.
â@@PehpehoptepAbsolutely. The added torque the liter bikes provide makes the power more available around town as well.
This is the content I signed up for! Keep these first rides coming!
Bruh this bike is a brutally fast bike 175 top canât lie itâs a smooth ride and very calm in the city mode 2 for me
Hey bro. Is the cbr 1000rr much slower than the other higher hp litrebikes??
It has electronic steering dampers. Itâll definitely feel like harder to toss around but in fact itâs quite nimble
Just missed you the other day visiting from NC. Hopefully I'll catch you next time. Love your content and keep up the good work!!đ
Had a 929 for 10 years. The cockpit views brought back a huge heaping of nostalgia. Big tank into a skinny front cowl. The 1000 still has the feel of it. And yeah, the on/off throttle abruptness was on the 929 too.
all. of. these. videos. deserve. more. attention. You have had the best quality bike channel on the internet for so long now and iâm so glad that youâre still kickin it. I miss the days of 500k on every video, cuz they most certainly deserve it.
Dear Mountain Motorsports Crew: Don't cringe up when a customer walks up to your sales people and asks if you honor Chase's discount.
Which location did you go to?
I have the 2018 firebladeâŠ.the very same model as this one with a quick shifter tail tidy and akrapovic slip on-itâs a beautiful bike to look at and ride and itâs LOUD with the slip on I actually couldnât imagine how loud it would be with a full exhaust systemđIâm 5â9 with 30â inseam and canât quite flat foot it but itâs very manageable I came from riding an r3 to the cbr and itâs very very manageable once you remember it can really bite if not respected đđŒ
OMG, Chase that Base on the beginning photo Shoot was so Deep. It made my speakers walk. I like it.
Thatâs a beautiful bike, love the colors
I traded in my Z900 for a CBR1000RR, I like it so much better. Really enjoying it so far.
Hey, I currently have a Z900, and I'm not too happy with it. It feels very underpowered and doesn't have any real hit in the power-band. I'm thinking about buying a CBR1000RR. Does the CBR feel a great deal more powerful, and does it have a top-end rush of power? I'm really wanting that thrill of power that the Z900 lacks. Also, is the CBR comfortable enough for a semi-long distance ride?
@@wedie2soon Yeah, the CBR1000RR does have a great deal more power, which i mainly feel at higher RPM's. I could only last up to 2 hours before i feel like dying lol. I currently dont have my CBR anymore, it was stolen and the thief totaled it. It was super fun while i had it.
I currently have a z900 as well. It has plenty of tourque but just lacks something. How is the cbr 1000 rr in the lower revs compared to the z900?
Love your videos, I just wanted to throw this out. I recently bought a 2006 Yamaha FZ1. It has that horrible throttle lag, Yamaha actually shuts off the fuel, itâs like turning off the key every time it decelerates, then you accelerate there is a lag until the fuel comes back on. They do this for fuel economy. There is a simple fix at least for the FZ1- flash the ECU and get rid of that throttle lag, also, when I had it flashed I got 50% more power in the three lower gears. Sounds like Honda has put a lot of restrictions in the ECU. Just thought Iâd mention this.
The number system is nice it indicates how much the electronics interfere with the bike so yes higher number for power would lower it
Early Gang! Awesome bike! Hope to be on a sports bike soon! Right now just ride a vstar 1300
OC: Definitely want to be excited by a bike I'm gonna ride. Be it's styling or power delivery or comfort and ergonomics. Which is why I love my Daytona. Guess it's like a car. Walk out in the morning and you don't like the look of your car, you're not going to be excited to drive it.
OC: For me that bike that bike sounds like a dream supersport. Smooth power, more upright - just me. Iâll probably get bored after a season or two because that lack of âcharacterâ but I could live with that đ€
I love my 2018 CBR1000 RR the quality the sound etc
Definitely want to see that comparison video!
Hello Chase, that is the base model. There is an SP version of that that has gold wheels on it.
Got the 2022 CBR 1000RR-ABS as a first bike last week, love it so far. Literally a beast on wheels.
So would u say its a good beginner bike ?
@@jayyxyyt definitely not, very powerful bike. I had some experience in liter bikes ( friendâs ones) from 15 years ago and I ride very safe.
I would advice an SV650 ABS or a CBR650 ABS as a first bike. An R7 can be a good choice too. Starting with a 185 HP bike as a first bike is very dangerous, you can at your own risk.
@@Ben-sr5rg thanks man
how has it been treating you? no drops? also if you do drop the bike are Honda parts expensive to replace on motorcycles
Too powerful, torque control saved me many times, current config P5T3W3EB2. You can read about it online. No drops (yet). If I can go back in time I wouldâve got the CBR650r instead of the CBR1000rr
I just did my first oil change, I got the filter from Amazon actually(oem), itâs genuine honda that cost me 17$
I might buy a quick shifter just for fun. If youâre in the Austin TX area let me know, Iâll let you try it.
Youâre right on target Chase. They should make the numbers match in the different settings and it DEFINITELY needs a better dash!
thank you for not blurring the speedometer on the highway.. Thumbs up for that
Engine braking the 1 is highest setting, 3 is least. When itâs in 3 it should coast loosely when you get off throttle.
@Game Time with Jc check your ownerâs manual. 1 is the strongest engine braking, 3 is the weakest engine braking effect.
This is the last gen fireblade which i think was sold from 2017-2020. The new base model one is the Cbr-1000rr-R and top spec Cbr-1000rr-R SP (The base model is the same bike but without the extra bits). Though the confusion may come from the fact that they still sell those old ones next to the new gen ones in the US. The old fireblades had a lot more comfort but wayyyy less power, because power has really not been the main point of the fireblade until the latest generation, it was the smoothness.
Though it still was an interesting comparison! đ
Those mirrors thoughâŠ. I canât stop seeing Yodas ears.
âTaperâ means to diminish, so wanting the power to âtaper onâ is a term thatâs in conflict with itself. I enjoyed your review, though.
if you had ever driven a truck you know why the engine breaking is good when you are going high numbers and why the power is good at lower number as its the opposite sides. says like when the number goes up with engine braking means more breaking assistance and with the power, well more power ;)
I like this CBR. Red looks awesome.
OC: I haven't been able to test ride every bike I've owned so If a bike doesn't excite me, I usually don't keep it long or don't end up buying it. Different bikes/brands excite different people though.
OC: can you do a comparison jump from a 600rr to this. Like how good of an upgrade would it be or the differences.
You already reviewed this bike. The 2017-USA 2021 is the SC77. America didnt get the actual 2021 cbr1000. The rest of the world got a non-sp version of the RRR SP.
Wheelie control mode is correct, made me look, not supposed to need that key, kinda wierd unless that was Euro only.
OC that's a good bike to get, if they have hugh discount. It's one of the lightest 1000cc super sport.
It looks gorgeous
I like the look of this one more than the RR-R, but that one is definitely more exciting in terms of performance. Regardless, I'm never gonna come close to the limits of these bikes so this one would be more for me.
14:55 thatâs so funny you say that, I rented out the same motorcycle and was shocked to see I was going 130 after a quick highway pull đ
So early in the video, 360p is only available lol
Haha same
đđBro
Itâs 1080p now after 4 hours
Crazy cat man, right? Love what youâre doing. And I really love your cat call.
Wish Honda still made hand built special machines like the RC30,RC45.
Iâm in Between this bike and a Ducati panigale v2. What do you like better mainly for street and joy rides around town.
đ I always looking for your review
You should do a review on the new 2021 Yamaha R1s and compare the two
Hondas typically have loose chains when theyâre new. I have a cb1000r and mine was super jerky when I first got it. The chain was super loose. After the shop tightened it up it it felt great. Iâm thinking youâre has the same issue
1:10 surely this graph is wrong. A CBR1000RR scores higher in comfort than it does in horsepower?
The chart maybe for the Monkey??

Awesome vid!
I like the look of the Honda CBR 1000 RR, but the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R SP just hits harder.
Yea but its soooooooo much more money lol
Its legit a race bike so sick
I like the look of the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R SP, but the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R/SP2 37X-31 Project just hits harder.
If you get the CBR 1000-RR R SP, and unrestrict it, it's as powerful as about 220HP or more. Just by ecu alone.
I prefer the other way around i think this one looks much better
With the numbering, its set up for how much computer intervention do you want. 5 most 1 least.
Honda makes great everything
Itâs a more base model and youâve ridden the next model thatâs really the old 17 model. If you had ridden that model SP it would be closer to the RR-R SP
Lmao no it wouldnât the RRR and the regular SP are 2 different bikes
The 2021 cbr1000rr for the american market is the sc77. Meaning its a rebranded 2017-2019 model. The sc82 base model only shipped to asia and europe. We got screwed.
@@ChaseN194 Not quite, the non-sp rrr model is roughly 22-23k USD in the markets that it was introduced. They probably wanted to compete in the 15-16k bracket with the old model
@@k2t210 possibly but for the $20k price range the base model sc82 its honestly worth it as it is actually better than all other base model 1000cc sportbikes.
I figured it out it work on safety
Power 1 for pure or 5 for safer less responsive
I agree the dash is a little tiny, definitely needs a fuel gauge and quick shifter.
Yeah, I don't know what's with these litre bikes not having fuel gauge. These machines chug fuel like it's nothing, of course I need my fuel gauge.
Got 32,000 miles on my 2018 cbr1000rr black. I live my bike and will trade it in for a new 2021 same bike soon
QUICKSHIFTERS! Can anyone tell me if thereâs an aftermarket up AND DOWN quick shifter with auto-blip and if so whatâs a single particular example of one you know of? Do they work on all bikes? Do they require cable throttle or throttle by wire or ?
How are the ergos compared to the cbr650r? Iâm told the cbr1000rr is a somewhat more relaxed ergonomically compared to the 600rr or 1000rr-r
I like when bikes donât have quick shifters. Shifting is part of the fun riding a motorcycle
I picked up a brand new left over 2018 cbr 1000rr about 8 months ago and it looks exactly the same as this đ€·đ»đ€·đ»
It is. The RR-R SP is technically a 2022 model but it was released before the regular version after the 17-21 body style was already in the market so you could say itâs last years model but it was still produced for the beginning of this year
I got a zero miles 2018 CBR1000 three months ago for 12k....love it!
@Elijah Gutierrez thats a steal wtf
@@elijahgutierrez5739 i got a 19 hold over back in august 12.5 plus 1000 in tax
@@Turtle-RR Nice! Best looking liter bike right now!
Every bike excites me.
Would love to see a comparison.
OC: I'm new at riding so i'm gonna say yes to being excited with the bike you are riding, but tbh i'm excited on any bike i ride so there that.. :p Buying a bike knowing its gonna mehh or buying one that you know you're gonna have a blast on every time you go to ride it, i think everyone is gonna choose option 2.
I love this damn bike!
Love the Ruroc lid bro. How you like it?
You havenât talked about cbr500rr for a long time, hope you can make a video of the first ride on the 2021 model cbr500rr
Agreed
I got the new 1000RRm. Definitely needs restrictions taken off before the bike truly shines.
Arenât you in power mode 3 for the red light acceleration test? Because you had just changed it to 3 to test the throttle snappiness
Yes compare the 2 Iâm curious
I own one and I really like it
Man, that looks the size of a 600 class!
PLEASE HELP
Hey, I have a 2006 Cbr600rr and its been misfiring randomly. It mostly does it when the bike is hot, but sometimes when its cold and generally in low RPM.
I changed the spark plugs, coils, did a fluid wash, gas stabilizer, oil change, checked the connections and related electrical stuff. When I put the new coils in, I made sure that the strips were all the way in.
Any idea what could be causing it to still misfire?
the lower the number the less restrictive the electronics......been riding streetbikes all of 2 weeks and i know this already and yes it totally makes sense
Im having a 125cc honda too and it does just fine, not too exciting but cool enough :))))
I am confused.. so this model is still available? What about the new cbr ? Isnât it replacing this?
I will buy this and put rrr blue graphic wraped and put ackrapovic stiker on exhaust
Hey @chaseontwowheels , if you could pick between this or the triumph speed triple rs 1200 what are the pros and cons between the two??
Nice!! I have a 2020 Honda CBR 650R, looks similar to this.
Same, just traded it for one of these. Picking it up tomorrow
I just got the same bike two weeks ago and it actually excites me. Not sure what the hell it would take to excite that dude.

as long as it took to get a reply is about how long itâs gon take for the helmet to come in
When are the 2022 1000cc first rides coming brother???
u should really do a cb650r review that would be awesome
Was this more comfortable than the V2 Ducati Panigale or no?
How much does it cost out of the door (non abs version)?
I want that comparison
I wonder how many riders use these 'modes' in the WSB races?
A comparison would be interesting
I hope we get an rsv4 test ride
How does it work in America but in Europe the latest modell of the CBR1000 is called the CBR1000RR-R and looks a hundred times better than this one and is like a completely different bike. The bike chase rides in the video is the old version here in Europe. Do you guys also have the new CBR1000RR-R?
This dude in the car⊠for Me is not my cup of tea!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł dude⊠I canât imaging you fitting on that bike đ
I'm picking one up in the morning
Power goes up when the number goes down because the number isnât for power it represents how restricted the engine is. 1-unrestricted 3-most restricted
Is this where you take sportbikes for a ride? In city traffic? Maybe take it to a nice mountain or canyon road? Do you test out cruisers at the racetrack?
City streets are a real world application - 99% of people will drive it in the city.
$16,499 and no QS? What a miss.
It has a quick shifter, and you can see the quick shifting rod is installed on the left foot gear shifter. However, you need to turn the quick shifter on using the electronic screen :) hope this helps! (I have a cbr1000rr 2018 and yet still watching a first ride đ )
