Every bike has its pros and cons...here's a video of me doing my Black Belt drills on a ZX6R after I was told it was "impossible" lol czcams.com/video/0GGbn8JUcHY/video.html
Yes post more super sport videos
Good video! Those slow speed turns on the sport bike really are tricky if your wrists aren't in the correct position. Good stuff!
That tip on rotating your wrist angle👌🏽
Now I know why I'm so much more comfortable with tight lefts than tight right turns
It's actually a terrible tip, the elbows are incidental, it's holding the grips as you would an ice cream cone which is critical.
This is what I need, only a month starting on a sportsbike. Been practicing just like you did.
Another great video, thanks! Your pursuit of excellence in the discipline of riding, as well as your wanting to share and teach, make you an amazing Moto-youtuber! You legit should take Dan Dan to the cleaners, in a challenge! Twisties, slow skills, whatever. Bet you'd get 1M views!
Maybe it isn’t textbook, but I always try to grip the throttle like I am holding a screwdriver. I notice when I do this I have better throttle control and don’t have to worry about my wrist getting in the way of turns. This helps me out when trying to maneuver my XSR900 at lower speeds.
There's a Fortnine video about the "ice cream grip" and I think it's basically what you describe. It's not textbook, but it's what the pros do and sounds like you discovered it on your own!
I have noticed that MaxWrist uses that grip in his videos.
Are you able to cover the front brake using this grip?
@@jonathanqhe 🤔
@@jonathanqhe I am able to get a few fingers, but at low speeds I really don’t need the front brake. When I am using the front brake I am typically not turning aggressively so I can adjust my wrist to become adjacent to the bar.
I was trying the same maneuvers on my 2022 S1000RR in a MSF bike bonding class and I’ll admit it was hard. I knew the bike could do it I just couldn’t get the confidence and the steering all the way over initially. I found with the instructors help that if I didn’t wrap my thumb around the clipons and put my thumb pointing towards the base of the clipons I had more range of motion. I will say it was tough fighting the steering damper which lead to me fumbling some of the exercises because I couldn’t get the wheel moved over quickly. All in all I eventually got the hang of it but still need practice to get where you’re at. Great video thanks for showing it’s possible.
On a sport bike you have to grip like you're holding an ice cream cone. That automatically puts your arms out, elbows up in the corners 👍👍
Over-rotating wrists does not allow to keep fingers on the front brake leaver, and for me, it still limits the throttle control. I moved hand to the end of the right bar and use middle + ring finger for break leaver and index remains for throttle. And like that, I am riding low speed stuff on clip-ons for several years now.
Just as an option :)
That sounds like it would be a good balance. I really want to get a sportbike as a second bike and looking for tips like these
How about that Datsun B210 wagon fly-by @ 2:23 !!
So with all the makes / models you've ridden, what do you think is the best overall track bike, giving you your favorite combo of speed / agility there?
Omg I love the sound of that 1000rr. I just put a deposit down on the 2022 600rr. Waiting to hear about the delivery estimate.
I would love to see you do this on a Ducati 999 or 70s 900 SS.
Good stuff
Bike looks 🔥🔥
Beautiful bike
Ironically, although no one supported my decision to have this bike as my first bike, I got it anyway.
2016 black edition. This bad boy has the anger and the forgiveness in 1 package.
what an amazing machine.
The dude in the shorts and the t shirt on his 1000cc is just tol good lmfao
Which helmet is that @moto
That's like me and my cbr 1000RR from 2015k ;) Great bike.
beautiful bike bro. ride safe
The hardest thing about riding a CBR1000rr, is having to stop and do other things in life. Love my '14.
good rider.
Why every time he is braking his rear goes up? Use rear brake, it helps stabilise bike during braking
Does 2006 Honda cbr1000rr has abs?
I have a question. I just bought gsxr 600, no abs. at what speed can i brake hard in an emergency without slipping and falling? 20 kmh? 40 kmh?
wow so much fun
Man's swinging the handle bars around like hes Moto-Jesus. It'd be turding myself 🤣
Can’t wait till I get me a bike soon
I’m buying a CBR 1000 and can’t decide if I want ABS or not, what’s everyone’s take?
is that a Shoei 1400 Helmet or 1200? Looking for one, just trying to get other riders perspective.
Hmm is the 1400 a modular helmet? Looks more like a neotech, could be wrong.
lol watched a video the other day he had about at shirt and shorts rider that was riding by on the interstate talking about how many riders he sees like that every day
In a straight line on a clean surface, how likely is it the front tire slides before the rear lifts under hard braking?
Highly unlikely I'd say...I wouldn't go trying it unless you know what you're doing though 😎
@@jackmurray430 Exactly how are you suppose to learn what you are doing without trying it? Think man!
I'd say maybe going and riding with guys who can actually do it and watch and ask them rather than asking on a CZcams video...but you seem to have the answers already so I'm not sure why you're even asking...go you 👏👌
@@jackmurray430 Thanks but to be fair, I was asking MotoJistu, not random dudes like yourself, on YT 😂
@@booger65man point taken 👍 Ride safe ✊
curious what is your height/inseam? curious if i would fit on this bike
I have a 600rr and I'm only like 5'4 I don't have any problems with it. If you're any taller than that I'm sure you'll be fine
@@johnrailsback3829 thanks for the feedback bro. i will give it a shot. looking at a 600 as well
I don't get it though why would they make such a powerful bike without ABS or traction control?
no abs, traction control, slipper clutch sounds like those 90s sport bikes like I own my 90fzr1000 and 97 yzf750 never rode a bike with any of that stuff lol
bad habit - we do not brake in front on Twisted wheel ;).
why does people always make a hudge show out of it xDD, just fking drive........ its easy
Anyone noticed the reckless car driver at 2:28?
What was he doing that was reckless? He was going in a straight line to me.
Hauling ass!
You’re ready to be a Shriner
Hehe people giving excuses to get him to play with other peoples bike…
Total weirdo
