- FAILING at removing a tire off a Harley-Davidson FXR...Well another task of trying to work on every bit of this Harley-Davidson FXR. I may not a tire machine but if there is will...well maybe not this time. #fxr #harleydavidson #harleybuild

JASON... Cobar in Nebraska here, want to let you know I'm really enjoying your videos... I have purchased a 1989 FXRT and I'm working on customizing it to FXR as it was stripped of all touring package. There are vids on my channel. I changed handle bar switch mounts and am working on wiring. It was clipped and all jammed into the head light. I have tank mounted speedometer with gas cap dash which I think is cool. So that, dual front discs and VIN # are all that will remain FXRT. I also rebuilt electric panel and got rid of all the extra circuit breakers. Working on changing to black powder coated 13 spoke wheels now. Thank you for a great channel, good luck and I'll be watching notifications.
Cobar
Glad you found the channel man, glad to know others working close to the same projects!
Man it could always be worse! Failure is part of working in bikes. Believe me I know… Good stuff Jay! Keep up the good work my friend!
You got that right! So many times I've play out in my head how it's going to go. Just to realize I should of double checked myself before starting lol. I appreciate the kinds words as always my friend!!
Showing the good and bad of things. Keep doing what you are doing.
Yes sir! Working on showing more of the bad, then just all the good. Part of doing stuff yourself!
I've always used a 5-gallon bucket to hold the wheel (add some pipe insulation on the rim of the bucket to protect your wheel if necessary) and a c-clamp to break loose the bead. Judging by the effort you displayed, I will stick with my method and save a bit of money. Thanks for the info.
Great tip! Methods like that, if isn't broke don't fix it.
Bought a used tire machine a while back changing tires is a 15 minute job now !
It was super tempting, I just don't have the space yet!
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. All in all. That looks like I’d rather take the wheel to a shop.
I normally do and the one time I wanted to try it on my own...cost me more then just getting done. I appreciate you watching sir!
What size tires are you running on the FXR?
100/90H-19 front and rear 130/90H-16
