Being able to purchase beers in a cafe at 9:30 a.m, that is the sign of a civilised nation...
😂😂😂so czechia has been civilised since always😂
Beer; it is not just for breakfast.
@@theoteddy9665 😂Dobri
Nothing wrong with 2nd Breakfast. As a hobbit I recommend it.
Neither with drinking beer at 9:30.
Neither with 3 espressos
@@harshissweet well, he has a job in his own so he can basically do whatever he wants during his "worktime"
Okay so thats a 1st and second breakfast one with coffee and one with beer, czech
One of my favourite places in the world
Greetings from Austria
💙💙
Where in Austria?
My favorite place is Linz
I'd really like to see an episode that shows the locations included in Kingdom Come: Deliverance
There already is, just not from Honest Guide
Oh yeah! That would be a great Honest Guide episode! The German CZcamsr "Steinwallen" made two very good videos about the area. It is in German, but it does have English subtitles for CZcams.
Yes please Janek and Honza, do it! It would be magnificent!
@@WarhorseStudios to si děláte srandu ne, že sledujete i honest guide :D vrazi totální :D
Me too.
I heard about České Budějovice from Švejk (Jaroslav Hasek) :)
Thanks for this guide. This was already on my must-go list. Now even more. My great-grandmother was born here.
Yall are killin it. Such awesome videos, great camera style, edit, personality, information, scenery... You guys don't miss a beat!
I love the Czech Republic! Cesky Krumlov is wonderful, too.
So many beautiful German towns and cities in Bohemia.
After visiting Ceský Krumlov, České Budějovice was actually a disappointment to us. Maybe expectations were too high, travel guides rated it higher than Ceský Krumlov...
@@sanne_vd Budejovice is a nice city, but Kromlov is something entirely different, a fairy-tale village. There is more in the city of course, but in Krumlov the whole village is a gem and easy to take in during a short visit.
@@itsjustme4848 Český Krumlov is a town. That sort of architecture definitely doesn't happen in villages here.
I don’t know the different definitions of town and village in Czechia. My point was that Krumlov is very small compared to a city like CB.
CB is near Hluboká castle and Český Krumlov, famous for original Budwaiser and on the Vltava river, the same as Prague.
... and an easy bike ride from CB along good paths by the river!
The hole in one was impressive but I was more impressed that you ran 115m so fast!
Great video, definitely a city I want to check out on my next trip to Czechia
Everyone would like to live in České Budějovice.
Except for me, of course

no Tábor is my place of choice
This city is beautiful. But it needs more activities and places. Great video
@@theoteddy9665 I feel like I should clarify that I was quoting a fairly famous Czech play, I just translated it into English :D
The Masne Kramy was my regular Restaurant until the Big Flood in 2002. After that it was unfortunately closed for many Years. I still have a few nice Photos from back then, with Beer and Knuckles (Pečené vepřové koleno), at Masne Krami
it's still going strong
Finally another city than Prague, there is a lot of nice cities in Czech need to be discovered. Can't wait to see the next city .
Oh my gosh! I’m so happy to find this! I’ve traced my 8th great grandparents (1660’s) and many generations forward (until immigration to USA) to this city or villages very near. Thank you! I hope to visit next year.
8 generation would mean 1800 which seems more correct since it’s then the rest of non Western Europe migrated to the Americas
Many (swimming) lakes are called "Baggersee" in German... because they were artificially excavated. So I guess it's the same in South Bohemia! :-)
Baggersee - such funny word. :-)
You're right...A lot of names of places in the Czech Republic have German origin :)
@@bohm9764 they really do! People’s names too! Bohemia especially has very strong Germanic roots.
we call it mostly pískovna which means place where sand is mined and it's mostly flooded later and it becomes lake
@@bohm9764 My favorite is "ajzenboňák" which originated from Eisenbahn, and its the train driver, I also have a theory where "mašinfíra" comes from "Mashinfuhrer" also as a machine driver.
Love that you are showing more than overrun over priced Prague Awesome!! Keep it up!
Thank you so much for this! Visited as a student and your video has brought back loads of memories 😊
Awesome. You have no idea how much we love and follow you. Definitely another place we will visit because of you guys.
Jako Budějčáka mě toto video potěšilo :D
Me taky!!!!
Na kanálu "Kluci z Prahy" mají i českou verzi. :-)
Truly “epic” and charming town.
The love you have for your city is just amazing, I’m from Lisbon living in London and I can’t wait to go Czech Republic for this first time 👍
I was thinking of visiting cesky krumlov and scrolling through your old posts just to make sure i have an honest guide from you guys. Love you guys a lot. ❤️
After breakfast we'll have a shot or two of Becherovka ...
2 hour later: Welcome to Ceske Budejovice's prison, this is Vadim our new friend ...
This makes for a great sequel to your first video on the city. So glad you finally got to try the ice cream place!
Small beer for breakfast, sounds exactly like my home town 😂
I’ve been living here for 3 years, but half of the places in this video which I haven’t been to. I feel like I wanna explore Budějce again. Thanks for the tip!
Love your guides!! We are headed back to Prague in a week!! We have been there many times, but your guides are giving us many great new ideas!!
pancakes, nutella and strawberries - what could go wrong? - type 2 diabetes XD :D
You beat me to this comment!
Haha!!! 🙃 👍 👍 👍
The strawberries for me. Those are disgusting XD
had to pause your video many times, to view the beautiful architecture. stunning place friend. xx
I love that second breakfast, looks so yummy!
It also probably was....
🙃
Next I'd like to see a travel guide for my favourite university city: Zlin!
As a former TBU-student it surely would give Janek some opportunity to talk nostalgia :)
Was waiting for this !!
Love the videos. Can’t wait to travel again.
Oh Man ! love it. You are back with the kind of vedios you used to make in the very beginning ....keep it up
Ok, I've just got my weekly happiness dose from you guys.
Lovely town, I have been there several times. But you missed the best place to visit - the Budvar brewery (pivovar) tour - not to be missed. But what really upsets me is that Budvar beer in England costs x10 the price than it does in Czechia. 🙁 🍻
Fun fact
There is only [maybe] one bird that loves your videos
My bird
He is obsessed with your youtube vids
What????
We were thinking about visiting here, but crossed it off our list. We probably need to reconsider. Thanks for your vids.
I recommend you to go! We visited last year, Budejce is a gem! And with C. Krumlov and Holasovice you have 2 UNESCO world heritage sites nearby (30min car ride). Hlubovka castle was an one hour bike ride away.
hi janek. from Wikipedia : A picador is one of the pair of horse-mounted bullfighters in a Spanish-style bullfight, that jab the bull with a lance. maybe because of the the hotdog resembles a lance (spear)? love your show, missing Prague a lot. best regards from Israel.
Spot on the roll is impaled with heated spike to create cavity for "dog" and heat it up from inside.
The pancakes with nutella and strawberries looked amazing
I just got into town last night with hubby! I cant wait to explore tomorrow :) great video
Congrats on making EURO 2020 quarterfinals
Thanks bro

And... they are out! They put up a great fight against Denmark though. Very close game.
We stayed in CB in a hotel (actually Hotel Zvon) overlooking the square on our first bicycling tour of the country in 2015. We were quite captivated by the city and the square.
Pancakes, nutella and strawberries what could go wrong with that combo?
And the guy behind us just ordered a small beer, so it can even get better 🤣🤣🤣
Dear sistet r u from Czeck Republic.
Looking forward to visiting the Czech Republic once it's already safe to travel. :)

I have spent a couple nights in Ceske Budejovice, excellent place. Masne Kramy was an excellent place, use to be the home to the local butchers. There was a road rally in May and this was a good place to view all the classic cars.
I've been stuck in my apartment for weeks. Now Budějovice is definitely in my plan for next week. Thanks :)
If it doesnt deliver, Hluboká nad Vltavou chateaux is just 7 kilometers, connected with bikepath. Nearby is also Český Krumlov, I reccomend taking a train there. Local specialty are sweetwater fish. Just dont order carp, those are eww no matter how good the cook is.
@@Pyrochemik007 yepp, increadible destinations!!!

It so reminds me of Riga in Latvia which is where my wife is from.. I so miss going there and the food, which looks similar to Czech food :) .. and it’s never too early for a beer ;)
Stayed at hotel Zvon last year and ate on the terrace overlooking the square. great food nice room etc. Beautiful town.
Amazing thanks for this video. I was there in 2014 after a skiing trip in Zelezná Ruda, which is a really nice and affordable place to ski.
I am thinking of visiting Budweis for many years. This video shows me that it is time to do so soon.
Wow, is this even Honest Guide? This edit and just the overall presentation of the video blew me away. You guys have really stepped up your game! I literally couldn't take my eyes off of the video. And I even live in České Budějovice so it wasn't even anything really new for me. I've gotta say that this CZcams channel is better with every video. This could literally be a Netflix show.
I live here but I will definitely take a walk around all the places you mentioned!
Im comming to Prague 24 september. Please keep us posted. TEACH ME, SENSEI!!!
Sure, if you call your Park Stromovka, you can call the lake Bagr.
You inspired us to book 4 nights in this beautiful city! ❤️👍😎
*Once upon a time, Czech horse drank a Budweiser beer from Cz. Budejovice and urinated with American Budweiser.*
Been there for 5 days in 2019. Great city :)
I went there twice and visited the original Budweiser Budvar Brewery, also recommended!
Not a fan of Budvar, I put them down with Pilsner Urquell. Staropramen and Praga is way better, so is Bernard, Krusovic and Antonin.
Viac takýchto vlogov!
Also, @Honest Guide
It would be awesome to see you document some of the old tales of Propast Macocha - Moravský kras a taki Cesky Krumlov or even the town called Pisek. Go there everytime I visit cz, loveing it and especially l love the tales. reminds me of my grandma and how she kept telling me about what has happened there.
Amazing place and also amazing channels.
Been there, love it
great work, really promote ur country and not scare showing pros and cons in other films
Will you make us discover other cities ? Czech has so much beautiful places to be known ! :-) Thanx for this short visit !
I was there 2 years ago, a really nice city with wonderful beer
The soup looks very nice! It seems.a great city to visit someday.
Have you ever made a video where you go to kladno? I am a huge Jaromir Jagr fan and would like to see his hometown, love the videos, they will definitely help when we travel over there.
Congratulations to get the quarterfinal in Euro 2020, i am looking forward to see Czechrepublic team at the final with Italy 🇮🇪 😃 🇨🇿
Sparkling, clean city. Excellent restaurants and shopping. Only thing you left out were the high concentration of sock specialty stores!
Hello guys. Enjoyed the video..Nice area there.Recently subscribed to channel and viewed other vlogs. Went to Prague once 20 years and will return .Great city.
looks awesome
Another great vlog! Watched "Lifestyle Hal" this AM doing a Czech vlog and he gave you credit for the Prague vlogs.
I loved the video! Could you also visit some other towns in other vids?
I have to agree that it is a beautiful town, I had the pleasure of visiting 20 years ago. I am an American of Czech decent and I love the food and country.
I was in České Budějovice when transferring trains to go and return from Cesky Krumlov, the train station is so Hussitan it's beautiful. Still, a little spooky at 2 AM
Worked throughout the region in the 90's-2000's... Beautiful people, surroundings and country... Miss the good food too!!🤤
trust me, the food is like 10x better now as we got out of communism for real since that time. back then it was still communism i would say almost.
Are you guys going to show more other cities?
Could you do Liberec next please?
Liberec is worth visiting. Beautiful old city center - but Jested transmission tower is the star of the show. There is a hotel in the tower and it’s not too bad priced.
I would like to see Mladá Boleslav and Třinec as those are the cities whos teams except from Prague are in the CHL this year.
congrats for the qualification of the czech football team im amazed how they play very well!
The roof top with view perfect for date
Why didn’t you do the Budvar Brewery tour?! I can highly recommend it…well, what I can remember of it 😂
It is a beautiful city 😍

I recommend spending more than a day in Brno. Great place.
Wow, what a total coincidence!! This video was uploaded right before the 'holy shot'...and I had never, in my whole life, heard of disc golf before, until this video...lol..
the second breakfast look delicious
Děkuji za propagaci mého města.Paráda.Moc hezké a určitě vyzkouším doporučené podniky :D. Např. Soup culture....to jsem neznala.
Czech Republic to the quarter finals! Hope there's a party in Prague

You need to show Český Krumlov next :D
Im deffenetly coming to prague. :) i like your videos and i hope youl hit 1 mil subs.

@@HONESTGUIDE guys, I can't remember you showed Czech castles (apart from the Prague castle and Vyšehrad). Please, show us your favourite Czech castles. I would love to see your castle guide and maybe visit those places someday just like I visited the honest locations in Prague. Thank you!
