Nikon Z9 Landscape Photography | Photographing The First Sunrise of 2024

Today I'm out in the field using the Nikon Z9 for some landscape photography and capturing the first sunrise of 2024.
Every year I aim to photograph the first sunrise of a new year. It’s less about taking a photo and more about setting the tone for the rest of the year. If I can do this, why can’t I do it for the rest of the year?
It was a bit of a struggle to get up for this one. I fought through rain, sand-flies and mud just to see this year’s first light. Always a great way to start the year off!
First time I've really used the Z9 for low light landscape photography, but it handled it well. No surprise!

I got up about 5:30 on Monday, to make sure the rain wasn't coming in the windows, then went straight back to bed. We got about 125mm of rain at Alex Hills, so didn't see the sun at all.
