    I noticed next to the hard buttons under the infotainment, the other section is blanked off…. Why not just put the AC controls there 🙄

    • @PeoplesAutomotiveGroup
      @PeoplesAutomotiveGroup  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey - I think they'd struggle to fit them in that blank section. This entire unit is also transferred over to the Tourneo Custom and there are a few extra button in there - but not climate control. With the fixed climate controls along the base of the touch screen it does make for easy access and adjustment 🫡

      Hi, have watched a lot of reviews on the new van and this has been the most informative, thanks!. wish still had option of physical dials for fan/heating etc on all new vehicles v having to touch screens, seems less efficient and less safe as have to take eyes off road to look at screen.

    The Android auto doesn't work properly it's wireless, but even if you do use a cable, it doesn't work. It's an absolute nightmare driving around central London, the map just jumps all over the place, then shows you you're in the middle of the Thames, totally unusable. I've got the automatic, it's a column change on the right hand stalk, takes a little getting used to, especially when it rains & you go to put the windscreen wipers on & knock it out of gear, as that was the stalk on the previous model for wipers.

    The rattle snake transit plastic fantastic

      We were pretty impressed with the finished inside the cab - only the lower sections are the normal 'scratchy' plastics, but makes sense on the lower sections in utility vehicles.

    Does it still have the lovely wet timing belt ?

    • @nigeats65
      @nigeats65 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Well, looking at the comments previous to your comment on wet belts I would presume that is indeed the case. How I managed to deduce this as being the case was by reading the previous comments above yours. Wet Belt it is then, I presume...!

  • @rogerfarrington8571
    @rogerfarrington8571 Před 5 měsíci +4

    have they replaced the wet belt with a chain .nothing but trouble.roger.

    • @PeoplesAutomotiveGroup
      @PeoplesAutomotiveGroup  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey Roger - the diesel variant still has a wet belt, however this comes with 3 years/100,000 miles warranty. The 2.5L plug-in hybrid is not a wet belt, neither is the E-Transit Custom.

      If you do 100000 miles over three years you are not going to be driving a plugin or electric van

    Big problem with the van in my opinion is there is no auto lock, despite it being in the manual. A real security blunder.

  • @micssticksnpipes
    @micssticksnpipes Před 5 měsíci +6

    The design of these vans is just going backwards! No engine improvement from known faults, no security improvements, No stay bars on the doors, grrrreat try standing next to that with your hands full in the wind! Looks like the steering wheel might come off when driving knowing Ford build quality. Vw is doomed

    • @CL4SSiCS
      @CL4SSiCS Před 4 měsíci

      There's improved security features, ironic since you need to pay extra to get 😂

    Loud rattling engine, nice shifts but knocking, sticky clutch at times, leaky seals, no plastics over rear wheel, showing wirings... I'm afraid I made a bad choice.

  • @MrNunna
    @MrNunna Před 4 měsíci +1

    Maybe "the best yet"? Remember this is all from a Ford dealer. I don't think" the best yet" is saying all that much.

    This is fluff piece, i have driven this new one, some improvements, but the old one felt much tougher and solid.

    Wet belt……………all you dealers better be ready for serious returns…….. ( for all you sales people who don’t even drive these vans) need to be ready🥶, I’ve been driving ford vans for 40+years with no real problems (160,000) miles so far on my 2018 connect with no break downs and still has ORIGINALLY rear break discs and uses NO engine oil ………….

  • @markeason4081

    Size of the ford badge 🤷‍♂️think you want engine reliability first & the brakes to work 😂

    • @barrytemple808
      @barrytemple808 Před 5 měsíci

      I’m afraid once van drivers get a taste of creature comforts there is no going back these vans were always reasonably priced to repair and will happily do 10 years hard graft if maintained !

    Same crappy old wet belt engine. Most fail by 60000 miles .and repaired or not they are normally of the road for weeks and weeks waiting for parts .utter crap

    Ruined a good looking van and starting to look like every other van, wet belts ok as long as you service in at most half mileage Ford recommend
