This Is The End Movie Description:
In Hollywood, actor James Franco is throwing a party with a slew of celebrity pals. Among those in attendance are his buddies Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson. Suddenly, an apocalypse of biblical proportions erupts, causing untold carnage among Tinseltown's elite and trapping Franco's party in his home. This Is the End is a 2013 American apocalyptic black comedy film written, directed and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, in their directorial debuts. I remember going to see this by myself in theaters while my mom and sister went to see one of the last twilight movies. I was almost the only one in that theater room. The infamously hilarious magazine scene to this day is still my favorite part. I remember laughing so hard when I first saw that in theaters. Danny and James were going to town on that part. And poor Seth was trying so hard not to laugh in that scene.
Yeah I saw the bloopers of that scene. Rogen kept laughing and they had to start over. The take that's on the movie, you can see Rogen's shoulder's shaking because he's trying so hard not to burst out laughing.
The Jonah Hill/Demon r-pe scene is a direct reference to “Rosemary’s Baby” from 1968. Not played for laughs though, that’s for sure. Worth a reaction to that movie too. 👌
I heard that the studio that helped make the movie was against the idea of the actors playing themselves. So Seth and the rest of the crew lied and pretended they were making something else. When it came out in theaters everybody loved it so much the studio forgot about it.

You have to see his movie “Rature Palooza” with Anna Kendrick. He plays the devil and he’s hot for Anna’s character. It’s a super underrated and mostly unknown movie.

I feel like the movie really captures that confusing energy of guys sometimes being very gay but not gay when messing around, which always confused me in highschool. I remember watching this of my first day being 13 back in 2016 and since then it's one of my top 5 or 10 movies. The ending was the one of the best endings on movie history. Backstreet Boys was last a last minute edition to the movie and it was the best decision.
I have a huge fear when it comes to the apocalypse. This is the only movie I've ever been able to see on the subject due to the amount of humor. It's so good.
What I find ironic is that in the beginning parts of This Is The End, the audience can't really tell if they're all just playing themselves and acting normally like they all would in real life. But what is insanely impressive is the sheer volume of well-known celebrities they crammed into this movie.

Yeah, being drunk is probably the only way to watch this movie. I recommend The Room (Tommy Wiseau movie). You’ll want to be gassed for that movie too. Or high - no hangover. It’s so bad it’s amazing. I just want to see your reaction to the first line of the movie. You’ll be bewildered at first and then it’s like a comedy the rest of the way. Trust me.

This kind of comedy is definitely not for everyone. It’s the kinda stoner almost black comedy you see sometimes from South Park or adult swim and if you’re not into that, it can be very off putting. Same case happened with some of the cameo actors that were a part of this, too. Apparently Daniel Radcliffe was gonna be part of this movie, but he flat out didn’t like the script and backed out. And apparently Emma Watson wasn’t cool with the whole cannibalism cult near the end and left during production, so a lot of her additional scenes got cut. It is cool they still gave her a really badass exit though. You can tell Seth didn’t mind that not everyone was down with his movie. He probably knew from the jump how polarizing it was gonna be. I still cringe into myself when the more extreme stuff pops up like Channing Tatum and the sexual assault related stuff in the movie even before I had been through those kind of situations myself. Just came off really off putting to me from the jump. But there’s still a lot of really funny stuff in there though and a good chunk of the comedy still works. I consider a lot of comedies from Seth Rogen mixed bags in terms of enjoyability. I still think the guy is really talented and props to him for writing and directing a lot of his movies. Just his humor can be a bit more darker than I’m comfortable with at times.

One of my favorite 2010’s comedies. This was pretty much the last one before everything went to shit with the comedy scene in Hollywood.
Maybe it was because of bad theater experience you didn't like this movie when you first watched it. I had a teacher once who went to watch one of the twilight films, I think it was eclipse (i guess cause they saw all their students *cough* girls *cough* reading the books at the time and figured they should give it a watch to understand the craze around it). They didn't like the film/franchise, but they said they were surprised they actually had fun in the theater cause the audience reactions and overall atmosphere was fun and they could feel the excitement, they said it felt like one big party
