I don’t think you will see this comment but the reason why the girl survive and had a black thing on a neck is because if you look closely when Godzilla does he’s atomic blast in Tokyo you can see black rain and that’s from all the radiation so there a theory that the girl got some radiation and survive

A kamikaze is a special plane operator that crashes their plane into the enemies. Its disgraceful for a kamekaze to come back alive because it means they were a coward, which is a big part of MCs character motivation.

What makes this one of the best godzilla movies is how deeply you care about the humans in the story. Its very rare when the human story is so compelling.

The special effects were amazing! The Godzilla figure is truer to and more resembles the 50s original than just about any recent version. This version features the “little” Godzilla head. The intent to produce a 50s feeling 21st century Godzilla movie is awesome, and I love the effort. I lived on those Godzilla movies with bouncy lips as a kid in the 70s. Anyone remember Ultraman? But it seems we the people have completely lost the ability to tell a story. Dreadful directing and acting. Absolutely no trackable plot. It’s Simpleton Theater - for dummies.

Japanese actually understand physics and apply it to Godzilla unlike Hollywood’s Pusszilla. After a certain point reality will NOT allow such mass to move quick and fast. All that muscle Godzilla has is simply just to move, he’s too heavy to be fast like in hollywoods stupid cheesy trash aka Pusszilla movies.

They're are a lot of easter eggs in this film. One of them is definitely on how he moves with minimal movement like in Shin. Both movies are a call back to the original 1954, down to the little arms that dont move much. Also I have to say, this movie had me a masterpiece many times over, I just appreciated it finally delivered good Godzilla scenes during the day.

It's a weird world, Mell, man. Who knew people would cry at a Godzilla movie, or a zombie movie (train to busan), or a superhero movie (avengers endgame, Assemble part)? I think that's part of the magic of cinema, to disconnect us for a couple of hours from reality, but to make us feel in that short time a rollercoaster of emotions.

So I’m sure you’ve seen people commenting about the subtitles. There’s actually multiple subtitle selections on Netflix. You had the “English (cc)” subtitles on and the subtitles that were the same as when it was in theaters is just the “English” one.
