Tag Movie Description:
One month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running for a no-holds-barred game of tag -- risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take one another down. This time, the game coincides with the wedding of the only undefeated player. What should be an easy target soon becomes an all-out war as he knows they're coming to get him.
Tag is a 2018 American comedy film directed by Jeff Tomsic (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Rob McKittrick and Mark Steilen. The film is based on a true story that was published in The Wall Street Journal about a group of men, played by Ed Helms, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, Jon Hamm, and Jeremy Renner, who had spent one month each year playing the same game of tag since their childhood. Annabelle Wallis, Isla Fisher, Rashida Jones, and Leslie Bibb also star. The film was released June 15, 2018, by Warner Bros. Pictures. It received mixed reviews from critics and has grossed $78 million worldwide, against a production budget of $28 million.

Fun fact: When they were in the AA meeting and Jerry went down those chairs, he actually broke both his arms in the process. They actually had to do that donut throwing scene with green screen casts, which is why his movements look kind of stiff when throwing them
It's hardly a fun fact then.broken bones . stop using it cringe
@@adamwilkinson6783lol relax…hope you are joking
Hawkeye cant catch a break.
If I remember right those breaks are also why he wasn’t in Infinity War.
@@adamwilkinson6783grow up and stop using the phrase cringe, it's cringe
I still can't believe that this is based on a true story. I remember seeing this with my buddy and it came out before Endgame. He was bummed out that Hawkeye didn't say he didn't show up for infinity war because he was too busy playing tag 😂😂😂
Never thought of that. That's hilarious!
I knew that Jeremy Renner was great at comedy when I first saw him in National Lampoon’s Senior Trip way back in the day. I was not prepared for how incredibly funny that he was in this movie.
In always wondered where did I see him from
I saw this movie with my dad right after he got diagnosed with cancer, and to say the ending hit hard the first time around is an understatement. Now that he's gone I still love to watch this movie and remember all the laughs we shared. Keep up the great work man I always look forward to your reactions
Sorry to hear about your loss.
❤ I also lost my mum to cancer. It's an ugly disease. Fck cancer
I’m sorry for your loss as well 😔❤️ and yeah absolutely, fck cancer.
sorry for your loss
Wow that’s awesome man
I went to the premiere of this movie screening. They had the real guys there too and they got up and said some words after. It was pretty cool seeing their friendship had lasted so long
This whole movie had me laughing and feeling good. From Jerry making them think he's in his friends childhood bedroom to having crazy train playing while pulling a shadow clone jutsu on everyone. "That was fake, but the pleasure was real" 😂😂😂
Still can't believe they used CGI on Jeremy Renner's arms. Looks so good and believable.
That ending was one of the best feel-good endings ever
I’m glad you did this movie. It’s like grownups but actually written well. Yea it’s real story but the cast is just perfect.
DUDE, when this movie came out everyone that knew me would be like, "you are JUST LIKE that red headed wife they won't let play! Cuz you're both mad competitive!" They have a point. I got banned from playing football for all of middle school because of gym class, and then at my high school the football coach was trying to talk me into joining the team. I would have been the only girl on the football team ever.
This movie had no business being this good.
You know, you might want to check out a 1982 movie called Tag: The Assassination Game, it a movie about college students who hunt each other around campus and shoot each other with rubber sucker darts to eliminate them from the game
A psychopathic player wh says he never loses get hit and, instead of losing with dignity, starts hunting the other players with a real gun
LOL. That last sentence was not what I was expecting. I was reading your summary, thinking to myself, “Huh. Okay. This sounds like a simple, fun premise,” and the BANG: real gun.
@@rogerrabbit5110 But, what do you think of the plot?
BTW, you might also want to check out a 1981 movie called The Wave in which an American high school social studies teacher, accidently creates a nazi movement in his high school Based on real events
The early 80s has some MESSED UP movies
I loved that movie as a kid!!!! When this first came out I had thought it was a remake haha
Or Gotcha. A movie with Anthony Edwards (Goose from Top Gun) who is the best in a paintball assassin game played all over a campus that gets caught up in a real life spy situation.
@@dneill8493 Good choice. another excellent movie
Also Gilbert Lowe from Revenge of the Nerds and Dr Mark Greene from ER
The 80s had some really good movies
This is such an underrated movie. Its so funny with an absolutely ridiculous concept. Its also got a lot of heart too. Great movie!
This movie should be a reminder for people who take themselves too seriously. We should grow up but we should always keep a part of us youthful. If my best friend called up and needed me, I would immediately call off work. You can get another job but you can't get another best friend.
Great message of what you're trying to say but tbh you can get another best friend. Plenty of people make friends in older years who are better than friends they had in youth
This movie is hilarious. Back in 2018, when the avengers kicking their @$$es on thanos while hawkeye is playing tag 😂
Ending is my favorite part, made me sad then happy & then of course the credits scene was epic for someone who had the song on a cassette tape growing up.
I love the fact that you used the tobey maguire “my back” scene at 4:45 because that actor in this movie that you used that for actually voiced an animated version of Spiderman in the spider verse movies
Back in the 80's, I was in high school, and we had a game called "TAG" too, but ours involved certain rules, and certain equipment. We had 865 students in on the game. Some agreed to be targets, others agreed to the other side of it. The rules were that we wouldn't make any plays while classes were in session. Lunch didn't count as a "class", and the most opportune time to get someone was just before school started, and just after it got out. Another rule was that any intramurals were immune from plays being made.
The equipment, however, was really strange. Paintball guns. "TAG" was "The Assassination Game" (came from a movie (TAG) in the 80's that we adapted with the school's permission).
Great movie, I went to see it in theatres when it first dropped, I was wheezing like an old ass lady
FINALLY!!!! Someone reacts to Tag!!
😂 love this movie it just funny af
Both Jerry and Hoagie have crazy wives which makes for a perfect fit. Also they may be the more dangerous players of the game, lol.
New Girl is hilarious, role on the ground hilarious. A lot of scenes are improved and they are legend level scenes. The boys youll love, granted Winston can be an acquired taste for some. Same with Jessica, you either love ‘em or hate them.
4:40 he is basically peter parker 😂
Dances with Wolves is very good. I didn’t even realize it was that long until you said it & I’ve watched it a few times over the years.
I absolutely LOVE this movie! and the fact tht it was based on a tru story. makes us realize we r still kids at heart
i love this movie so much and i always love watching movies like these because i feel the same way as you i wish i had a friend group like these growing up so i watch these type of movies to make me feel like i do. also this is one of my favorite roles that jeremy renner has played
Man every time I see Isla Fisher, I just make inaudible noises and struggle to keep my composure. Put her next to any girl who's labelled "Hottest woman alive" and I'll probably still pick Isla.. She just does something for me and I can't put my finger on what it is.
The red hair, man.
Maybe it's that she's married to Borat Sagdiyev.
And Jean Girard.
And Norman "Nobby" Grimsby.
And Ali G.
And Admiral-General Haffaz Aladeen.
And Brüno.
And some other characters;
Y'know.
Best editing!! Your presence with the shots 👌😆🤣😂👌 This was a great laugh. Thanks! Fabulous all the way.
This movie was my favorite thing to watch this movie had me laughing the whole time i would love a sequel to this 😂
That's a fire soundtrack!! 🔥
The insults towards the actress playing his wife were uncalled for
i forgot how amazing this movie is
In my mind this was what he did when he wasn't with the avengers.
13:37 is just andy cosplaying phyllis lol
We had a version of tag when we were kids, that was played with 4 sticks and a small ball lol. Fun times! But to play it as an adult like these guys? FUNNIER times! I don't know why, but I find it even funnier one of them is a priest. Can you imagine lying to a priest or the priest lying to tag them etc? Cracks me up more!
Everybody fine lol 😂 Starving
Isn’t it funny how Hannibal Buress always looks stoned no matter what😂😂😂
This movie was super fun. Loved Game Night, too. I do have that friend that gets too competitive 😅 but we still have a good time 😂
I've never seen the end credits before! That's hilarious.
I love this movie, especially the soundtrack !!!! I do suggest watching it again now that you know he has cancer. There are subtle hints to it, like how he says he's not afraid to die and smoking with Chili cause he has been doing medical M.
I LOVED this movie. So excited to watch your reaction.
I must say I am going into this so excited. I have been waiting for reactions to this. Dont forget the credits please. Got to the end. Loved it.
The red head from wedding crashers is actually BORATS wife. That's a nice!
After being ran over by a mini buldozer, JeremyRenner was able to walk again after several months, he could do all of those stunts.
Hands down one of my favorite movies of all time.
Love at 15:38 the Berleezy audio😂 W vid Mello
Kinda funny that Jeremy Renner plays a superhero for about 15 combined years plus all his other roles as a spy in Mission Impossible and Bourne Legacy but his one role as an adult playing tag is the movie he gets seriously injured in.
When you put yourself in the scenes there more funnier than they really are 😂
This was a fun watch, great reaction.
I like watching you react, Mello it's like watching a movie with a homie
I love that about reactions. That's what got me through the pandemic.
That ending really elevates this movie to legit good and rewatchable!
This movie is so underrated!
Mell you should really watch roll bounce it’s a good movie it has good actors in it aswell I love the movie and it’s funny and I think you would like it aswell
Tag is genuinely one of my favorite movies
I got to watch this movie with one of my best friends when it was in theaters and I absolutely loved it that I even got it on iTunes when it came out
I really liked this movie. I think I watched it on a plane and it was just cool fun
12:56 TF IS HE TALKING ABOUT??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Movies like this sometimes make me wish I had a friend group like that growing up too.
This movie is so fun 😂
Have you seen Hot Rod? Similar vibe and also with Isla Fisher. An absolute classic.
This movie is sooooo good…. Great reaction
I'm happy that you finally reacted to Tag :3
Guy playing Chili is the voice of Spiderman in the Spiderverse movies.
Idk if you knew or not, but you did put up a Spiderman clip after he fell. Lol!
They are the bestesr of friends lol playing tah for years bless them
I really enjoyed this movie
Love this movie! Hitman's bodyguard is an absolute must! Sam L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds are one of the best teamp up duos ever! 😂😂
This has been my favourite comedy for years hapoy your enjoyed it
Me and my friends did this in middle school thru high-school and it was one of the best times I ever had
9:00: Oh sh** “laughing” what the f**k are you wearing!?😂
16:45 I didn't realize that was Jake Johnson (Voice of Peter B. Parker in the Spiderverse movies) until just then and was pleasantly surprised when I looked it up.
If I found out that my friend took a game like this to the extreme by planning a fake miscarriage I don't think I'd want to play anymore, that would pretty much take the fun out of it
One of those rare instances where a childish humour movie is actually good.
Finally. Youre the first reaction channel Ive found that reacted to this movie...
Watching reaction now.
Saw this film in theaters, so funny
This movie can't be graded. Its just too much fun to watch over and over again.
That is actually them singing at the end of the film.
33:14
Him:"What are they doing right here, what is this... Hahaha... What gave them the idea to do something like this"
•Fun fact•
Jeremy Rener (most know for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel/Avengers movies) can actually sing really well. He has more than a few songs you can listen to right now on CZcams and they are all really good. A few notable songs I like and recommend checking out if you're interested are...
1. Main attraction
2. Nomad
And
3. House of the rising sun (cover)
Although he doesn't have very many, he does have more than 3 songs but these are just the ones I started with so these are the ones I recommend.
You’d LOVE New Girl, and his character is the best!
I been smoking weed for years and a “toke” normally means a bong hit, you normally ask someone if they wanna toke if you want to smoke with someone
You gotta watch the daddy’s home 1 and number 2. Good movie by will Farrell and mark walhburg
6:47 I was packing a toke and I legit hurt my neck wit whiplash this got me too good
My buddies and I play tag every year because of this movie lol
(during the credits) "What is this song?" The song is "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm."
my friends and I started doing this in real life, 6 of us.. we started in 2020 and do it in December
WOOO
Am I the only one that likes the video before watching it because you know it’s gonna be good
I was surprised that this movie is actually based on a true story and I do love the movie.
