Shambles was written by the Ladies specifically for the Netflix Anime "Kengan Ashura", for it's season 2 outro. And once again the Ladies show that they can rock HARD!!.
And MISA seems to hang out on the "B" string of her bass for most of the song.
The Ladies of Band-Maid have carved out an area in Rock and Roll that is theirs and theirs alone. No one else has their sound, image or unique style. And for that I am extremely grateful. Band-Maid doesn't need harsh vocals, though some may like them, their music isn't written to be harsh. Like you said, Saiki's vocals are immaculate. Plus she has had to have surgery on her vocal cords in the past, so I doubt she would want to risk damaging her voice with harsh vocals.

Once upon a time, the finest band in the world today -- Band Maid -- was born (thanks to the vision and passion of Miku Kobato).
From the beginning (2013), the lead guitarist was the ever-superb Kanami Tono.
When it was ultimately determined that the band would benefit from the fuller sound made possible by a rhythm guitarist, Miku was conscripted for the role.
At first, Miku had no idea how to play a guitar. Fortunately, she was an apt pupil. Even more fortunately, she had a marvelous teacher who was usually at her side -- Kanami.
Miku's abilities on the rhythm guitar advanced more quickly than anyone could have hoped for. She was now the respected rhythm guitarist/secondary lead singer/background and special applications singer/chief lyricist/founder/head cheerleader and PR person of Band Maid.
Ultimately her playing got to the point where she could do some short leads (including on-stage).
Addendum 1: It won't be long before she can attempt longer, more complex leads...but Kanami's job will always be secure.
Addendum 2: If the band is a true metal band (e.g. Nemophila, Hanabie), I'm fine with harsh vocals. If the band is a melodic metal band (e.g. Lovebites) or a "hard rock band" [uh, sort of] (e.g. Band Maid), uh-uh. Saiki is properly Queen for Life. Since I've seen Band Maid four times, Nemophila twice, and am holding tickets for Passcode and Hanabie), I'm basing my comments on CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, live streams, You Tube and live shows that I have attended/will shortly attend).

Although Miku does play some lead guitar parts she mainly plays rhythm guitar & sings lead & backing vocals. It's Kanami you were looking for to save you from a Shambles of a mix-up. Oops too late.😏

Hey, Tom, there were 6 pro cameras filming at Lollapalooza so what are the odds that cameras at any given time were filming each maid during their set? I know Hulu broadcast it live & i don't know the legal issues but what if B-M wanted to release & Blu-ray/DvD of their set. Could they do a joint release with Hulu cos with post editing they'd be able to have the right camera footage on the right Maid during solos etc?

@@GaryHolloway-810 Yeah, the editing was way off on their pro footage. They showed Miku and Akane during Kanami's solo, for example. But I don't see why all parties couldn't make a deal.

Welcome to 'The Great Thunder Buddies Show' presented by Akane Freakin' Hirose and MISA. ⚡ Of course also this time with the special guests, the riff queen Kanami Tōno, the sweetest and most energetic pigeon on this planet Miku Kobato and certainly not least the force on the microphone Saiki Atsumi 🔥🤘🏻

The guitar is not Miku, it's Kanami. While Miku has quite the hero's journey with guitar, Mincho (Kanami) is "the" guitar player (Goddess).

"Neh-mo-fee-la," as SAKI and MAYU say here -- czcams.com/video/Vol5Oltv4dY/video.html
There is no point in comparing BAND-MAID and NEMOPHILA, or SAIKI and MAYU. Each band and each vocalist occupy quite different spaces. As do LOVEBITES, UNLUCKY MORPHEUS, GACHARIC SPIN, TRIDENT, etc.

I love harsh vocals when they are appropriately applied. Band Maid would not be a "proper application" of such vocals (most bands would not be). Saiki is Queen -- deservedly.

Miku Kobato (Mika Noguchi), Rhythm Guitar, Harmony and Lead Vocals, Lyrics; Kanami Tono, Lead Guitar, Harmony Vocals, Composer; MISA - Bass; Saiki Atsumi - Lead Vocals; Akane Hirose, Drums, Synth, Harmony Vocals. Remember, when BAND-MAID formed, Miku did not know how to play guitar, so Kanami taught her.
