I've been playing professionally for 25+yrs...all i can say is "WOW! - just WOW....
I could listen to this for hours, but watching him play just makes the music 10 times better. I love how music is a physical activity to him, how he let's it take over his entire being. He deserves so much more credit as a musician than artists like Beyonce ever will. Well...at least in my book.

I see this song different than the way its told and it all has to do with the lines "Can't your see...Yeah, No, No, No, not like the others"
Line for line I see a struggle for fitting in, but with a spacy ear you can hear a surprise opportunity to be apart of a remarkable scenario where you feel right at home with just the right person.

Pr0x1mo acoustic badassery has truly been my fav since the beginning, not too sure how I neglected to give it a berth on here....this was 5 years ago. Am a major fan of the stripped back old shakey but the man is always progressing and trying new things which is crucial to a musicians development.
I just saw this guy at Edmonton Folk Festival and he totally blew me away and now I just found out he's playing the Horseshoe tavern in Toronto I gotta go!

Not exactly but I was just blown away by The Dead South. I was listening to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy when the autoplay put their "in heaven I'll be good company" song on. They're amazing and the video is great too. After them, it showed me Shakey Graves on the autoplay, so they somewhat associate them together. I doubt many are like Shakey though.

Grateful dead- phish- fans have specific favorite songs. one person s favorite "bertha" can sound quite different -then the next persons favorite "bertha". That's what it's like with shakey graves. But I feel with him, even more so. Because each version of the song takes on such a different feel that I can listen to the same song 3 times in a row and it feels like 3 different songs. I wish I could fly out for the festival he is head lining. It would be totally worth it
