Thanks for the review!
I find the Sennheiser is better with background noise, reverb and the interferences, altho for the price as you said the PowerDeWise is better.
Can we use JBLXS lav 3.5 with gopro hero 10 media mod. Media mod has 3.5 jack. Pls let me know ?
Great review as usual. - I am about to start my own channel on youtube & I want to do voice overs after I record the video on my Macbook. - Can you recommend Mac software for a beginner? - I will probably use Premier for editing, since I am a Photoshop fan. - It would also be great if I could load the video on an iPad and then do the voice over there. - I was going to get this Mic with an iPad Air with USB-C, since I heard that the USB-C is actually a higher quality connection than the 3.5, - but... the volume issue on Macbook is a deal breaker so you saved me there, thanks. - I guess these are not too pricey, so I could get the USB-C for iPad & the 3.5 for Macbook. - I guess also with 3.5 its possible to run the connection into a pre-amp or audio interface before the Mac.
If you want to do voiceover, it's better to get a cardioid condenser mic. It's much bigger but it's designed specifically for audio recording indoors. These compact lavalier mics are for portability and use with mobile devices and mirrorless cameras.
Consider the Audio Technical AT2020 (the one with USB) amzn.to/3GuEVHF
Or another brand that has similar specifications.
That mic has 10,000 reviews on Amazon for a reason. I've used that mic for many years, still am using it.
@@teohontech7141 - I will def consider it in future, but at the moment I will be traveling for the next 4 months on a weekly basis. - I need something that takes up as little space as possible. - Its probably going to take me 4 months to learn Premier, Audition, After effects etc, so this would just be a starting point. - can you give me some tips on how to record voice-over? - is Premier capable? What about voice-overs on the iPad?
@@brentgreeff1115 I don't use Adobe Premiere or iPad for recording audio so I can't say much. I'm sure there are tutorials on CZcams.

Can I use it to make calls and use AirPods etc for the listening part and this usb c mic for speaking part? Thanks.
No. Audio input and output will be from the same device if I am not wrong.
@@teohontech7141 I can chose it on the laptop but I am not sure if it is possible on phone or ipad.
@@dummyemail4738 It may be possible. See this powerdewise.com/faq/can-the-lavalier-microphone-be-used-to-make-a-phone-call/
