I learned some new things concerning the modifications I performed on my boat. I think I have it dialed in now. The next trip will be the ultimate test.
Regarding your center rigger. The powder coating is slippery, so no matter how tight you get the rod holder, it is going to slip. Two temporary fixes. First fix. With the rod holder attached to rail, mark the outside edges of clamp. Remove rod holder and sand the powder coating where the clamp, clamps on the rail. Reattached the rod holder and see it this is now tighter. Second fix if first does not work. Do all of the steps in the first fix plus purchase a small piece of kitchen cabinet slip proof liner. I used a piece that was perforated but if you can’t find perforated, poke 1/8 inch holes in it. Cut a piece to fit the rod clamp and attach rod clamp. Good luck

Then drill a small hole that can support a small diameter screw that will act like a pin to lock it into position. Hoping to get wet next weekend for first time this year. Seems the big Mahi are out there starting to show......
