  • Hi everybody. I created a short video on some of the things we as offshore fishing look at to determine if we will be heading out to fish or not.

Thank you for this detail. Way more helpful than Windfinder or Windy alone.

You're an inspiration for this. I'm buying my first boat in August. Glad I came across your channel.

So, we're fishing tomorrow? Finally a decent weekend! Great job on this video. You covered my favorite weather sites. The only other thing I'll add is that when I'm fishing nearshore, those SurfChex beach cameras can give you a pretty good idea of what you'll be dealing with in real time. Folks just have to remember that what you see along the beach is not always what you'll get 10 or 20 miles out.

Great video! I use Windfinder Pro and it has been the most accurate over all of them so far. NOAA not so much, but I like the extra features you were showing. I didn't know that was there. Will have to check it out! Interested in what all RipCharts does. I liked the currents and ability to find the spin off's. However, another $100 plus subscription. I have Sirius Weather and Fish Map and it has put me on them every time this year so far.
Might see you at the ramp again on Saturday if your going and our timing is the same! Good luck! Keep 'em comin'!

Are you trailering your boat from Havelock or driving it down on the ICW?
