- This Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato (chassis number DB4GT/0193/R has been painstakingly restored to 1962 Le Mans specification by R.S. Williams over the last 5 years. It was indeed originally raced at Le Mans in 1962 by French race car drivers Jean Kerguen and Jacques Dewez with support of Garage Mirabeau and has now returned in full glory. Out of only 19 DB4 GT Zagato's build by the factory, this is 1 of 2 authentic ultra light-weight examples, designated 'DP207', with two more examples being converted to DP207's at a later stage. The colour - French Racing Blue - is in line with its 1962 specification as well and really pops! What popped as well was its exhaust note - my goodness. After the 599 XX and FXX probably the loudest car I've ever heard in person (but be warned if you're wearing headphones!).
Watch and hear the fabulous 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato (chassis number 0193R) at the 2022 Concourse of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in London.

Lovely thing that is. I wonder if sixty years from now people will gather to hear the dulcet sound of a Tesla going into reverse.
I very much doubt it!
Possibly an electric classic will appear, but definitely not from Tesla!
Probably the most beautiful and yet brutal car of all time? Simply stunning!
A wonderfull sounding inline six , designed by a Polish engineer : Tadek Marek .
Hung in a Brittish chassis , dressed by a gorgious Italian body .
Does it get any better ?
With the end result being this wonderful car I don't think it does get much better, no!
At low revs the thing sounds like a flatpipe Diesel truck... Damn that's loud.
Yep - my ears were definitely hurting after filming this 😅
