Dirt Bike Magazine gives you an exclusive first look at our 2007 Yamaha YZ250 build with Rado Bartovic from Dirt N’ Iron that we turned into an ultimate trail weapon. On this build we worked with industry leading companies like Wrench Rabbit, Supersprox, Dunlop, TM Designworks, UFO Plastics, Tom Morgan Racing, and Nic at Decal Works topped it all of with a semi custom graphics kit that literally sparkles under the studio lights! IMS oversized gas tanks are essential for off-road builds providing almost double the amount of fuel capacity as stock. These are available in both natural color and black with screw-on cap or dry-break, quick-fill systems. We will never complain about more time on the trails. The FMF Turbine Core 2 silencer is crucial to this off-road build keeping us legal on the trails with a US Forestry Service Approved spark arrestor system. As you can see almost every bolt on the machine was replaced using a Spec Bolt Nickel Wurks kit. They are stronger than OEM and look way cooler. Internally the transmission received big upgrade via Hinson Racing components and a WR250 wide ration gear conversion. The engine was completely rebuilt using a kit from Wrench Rabbit and Tom Morgan Racing worked their magic on the cylinder head combination. A V-Force intake system and Smart Carb now supplies the engine with fuel.

Built for tight technical trails... proceeds to test it on wfo trails...
You built it for tight technical trails and then hire a motocross rider to blast it around motocross style terrain makes perfect sense, this should be called "The Bike Bling and Sticker Show".
Life is too short not to have a YZ250.....or X
Here to support Dirt N Iron 👍
Specbolt bling showing up all over this bike. Thanks guys!
Awesome job, Rado!!!
Love your premix series. Keep going!
That bikes a monster Rado builds some great machines
Man I'm drooling! I'd love to get it on my 6 mile loop and do battle with the trees and rocks!
Awesome job Rado @dirtniron
Nice!
Those Ethos Vision goggles are🔥
Very nice bike sir....i was praying to have 2stroke bike like that😔🙏🙏
so we wanted to build a bike for slow technical trails and then we show you exactly zero seconds of what it does in slow technical trails
Come to the east coast and test TV that thing in the tight woods in south Jersey
I am lowering the power in the power curve for my 2-stroke YZ250 also (2019). I won't be able to ride it until spring, and what i am doing is reversible, but I expect it to be a really good lower end and mid range motor for this kind of riding. Every bit of it is geared to shift the power down, (like this bike), and if overkill, I can change something back. Not using a flywheel weight--yet. Not sure yet.
From a set of Cycra full wrap bark busters, I made the strongest, most compact, most adjustable full wrap bark busters, and can't find a manufacture who wants to buy it.
I would call that a trail racer weapon.
is the mpg ever an issue or trail riding or would it be tough for a gp race. something like Adelanto gp or Elsinore
Can I drive enduro with a 2018 YZ250, or will I crash it every 5 minutes? I'm considering buying one. It has already been modified with an 18" rear wheel/tire and a full FMF system. I'm a lower-intermediate rider, so I understand that I probably should buy a WR250F instead, but this '18 YZ250 I found is so gorgeous that I fell in love with it instantly. 😅
