I am so bricked up right now these bikes are just mint beautiful job couldn't be better mechanic for these 2 stroke builds. Love it these are truly tricked TF out bikes man I am jealous wish I could find a good mechanic would help me bring my 1985 Honda CR500 back to life bought brand new parts just need to get it back together and water pump is not rotted either just great looking bike.

Nice job! Im restoring my 99 KTM 250 EXC…bought it new in 2000. Was still an awesome bike but it was collecting dust for 13 years…so nostalgia won. Its been disassembled, catalogued and all my parts are at powder coat now…should be showroom condition in a couple months…i did upgrade to 2002 front end from the original right side up forks. 🤙 Ride on fellas!

Awesome video! I bought each of these in 250cc, teaching my teenager to ride. The KLX definitely feels a lot smaller and easier to push around than the CRF.

I don’t know why Honda who dominated easy on the 2 strokes wouldn’t offer the CR125 & CR250. If they came out with those bikes it would change the sport again. There would be at least a year waiting list. Why would they even build a 4 stroke to race motocross because they have less power and so many more moving parts which allows them to break down so much sooner? It’s not to sell parts because most of the average people won’t buy them now due to the troubles with them

Listed at about 37 hp which means it's really about 32 to 34 which isn't even close to Japanese and European bikes. It's a good bike for beginners or weekenders looking for a cheap bike, but you could buy a used bike and at least be able to upgrade it over time if you wanted, don't really have that option with Zongshen engines. I recently resigned as a global brand ambassador for a Chinese manufacturer, it's not easy to do anything with Zongshen or get them to develop any type of upgraded parts, mostly because they have no idea how.

I rebuilt mine this spring (2022 xcw 300) at 139 hrs and the piston and cylinder were perfect. Just starting to get some blow by. Lots of carbon buildup on the power valve though

Man, I can never get over how the TBI/TPI bikes sound, they sound like they have a constant knock or something. And I've notices the BRC 500's dont have the same roar as the CR and KX500's

TBI not TPI if this is next generation 23+ if. Its a 22 or later, that's a fail. Atmospheric sensors routinely fail and blow engines. 8hrs on a TE250 21 we put 4 sensors on the bike. Sold it asap why it was still worth anything.

Carbon fiber swingarm doesn't seem like a very good idea for longevity.

Market for sure needs 500cc. two strokes today.
