Thank you for this; wish you had done more on Chamberi. We are planning to live there because it felt more neighborhoody to us. What we saw in this neighborhood was amazing! Very friendly, lots of locals, families-our style!

I agree. I didn't spend much time there but I think it's like a different, more calm, more local version of Madrid. I didn't like the center and always like the center

Most informative video I've watched about Madrid neighborhoods (plus, in english). By the way, where's the separate video for Moncloa-Arguelles? You mentioned you would make one

This is a really helpful informative video. But I think your content mix (travel, fitness, tech, etc) has confused CZcams's algorithm and it doesn't know who exactly your audience is, and that is hurting your video's reach.

@@rainbowchannel3 Yes it is mandatory by law to have a month off getting payed those days as regular working days (it can be done it two ways 30 natural days, counting weekends as holydays or 24 to 26 working days that doesn't count the weekends or bank holydays as holydays).
Usually that month (depending on the business and if you get payed 12 times or 14 times per year) you get double paycheck to enjoy holydays.
Your employer has the right to set half of your days off when better suits him (normally August) and you can have the other half when you please along the year. Usually people with payed holydays with the working days method try to connect those holydays with bank holydays like Eastern or Christmas to have some more days off.
It is usually a thorough process to set holydays with your coworkers to get the most juicy days, because depending on the calendar some years, from example at Easter, using just two days of your 24 days off you can have 10 payed days off in a row.
But depending on the business and in your activity sector's union agreement, like hospitality, (August in Madrid has low activity from locals) employers can choose to close the hole month to comply with the law to give the employers a month of payed holydays although they can not choose to have them splitted in half as many other worker do.

I lived in Madrid for 5 years and every August the city is literally half empty, that's welcomed by residents who stick around but not so great for turistas given they're not getting fully pumped Madrid, which is quite a thing. Also, big Spanish cities that are notoriously hot in Summer like Madrid and Sevilla appear to be largely void of all life in the afternoons cos everyone's dived indoors, so that park being dead when you went there at certain times is not unusual, I used to live by the Rio you were trying to get to and in the mornings and esp evenings from about 6pm onwards there was loads of life, but in the afternoons it would be tumbleweed time.
    Ps. I love Moncloa/Arguelles too.
