Spanish cuisine is so good! The country is very beautiful too
That churro goes perfectly with chocolate, it looks so delicious!
Every kind of bread at laa de la bakala is very attractive, and I think I will consider for a long time before ordering it!
I really hope McDonald's can sell calamari sandwich in the future. It is more attractive than ordinary burgers. I will definitely buy it!
Casa Danny's tortillay will definitely be a hit in my country, it's perfect for breakfast!
Stuffed mushroom is what I wanted to try the most, I didn’t expect the mushrooms in Spain to be so big!
Whoever invented using two sticks as a tool for eating it must be a genius!
Thanks a lot for sharing, really great job as always! 👍🥰🙌
Thanks Gianni! Not sure McDonald’s will be serving calamari sandwich anytime soon 😂
@@LukeMartin It is my honor, thanks to you too!
If you become the CEO of McDonald's, we'd know for sure!
I wish you will be ASAP. 👍🤩👌
Yes as famous as Mark Weins is he's a bit of a cartoon character and I don't feel is authentic or honest
Finally normal food, that doesn’t need courage to try. :))
After following Mark Wiens and Sonny for years, you are now my favourite because you don’t over exaggerate. Your reaction just an honest reflection of the quality and taste of the food, or not, when it isn’t…
Marks expression is fake.. he likes every food which he eats which I think is really not true..
@@ss-cc4ru That is correct. Sonny is honest always
We usually put mayo or alioli with the calamari roll.
Madrid es mi ciudad♥️♥️ And The food is one of the best things
Estos guiris ; verdad?😂
Love your vídeos! Man, you should also try the northern Spanish cuisine! From the Basque Country’s tapas, bacalao o txakolí (white wine) to Asturies with its cheese varieties, its cider and fish or meat and its stews… 😋 to Galicia and its seafood… you’ll feel diferent after that experience… try and tell us! Cheers!
The youtuber that I have been waiting patiently for since 2pm..... South Africa
❤
Thanks so much :)
Too many food vloggers waste time and footage filming close ups stuffing their face and mugging for the camera. Luke mercifully avoids that. He also takes time to show parts of the place he's visiting, like his stroll through the park and Plaza Mayor. It gives us an idea of where he is, not just what he's eating. Madrid is a beautiful city and Luke shows us that there are other attractions besides good restaurants and cafes.
Thank you so much for noticing that!
Everything looked so yummy ❤❤❤thx great content
I have ancestry from the Basque and Catalonia regions of 🇪🇸, so this video hits really home!! 🇪🇸 food is truly on another level!!
So cool!
So you are double time Spaniard! Saludos desde España.
Your culinary event is very interesting...and your food choices are appetizing🎉😊
Thank you so much 😊
Looks amazing.
It all looked amazing.
I like spanish and italian ham too. ❤ My favorite is salami milano. ❤
tripe soup, it's so good, I love the Spanish specialty
I’m heading to Madrid in two days! Thank you for the very timely and useful info😊
Have fun!
Thank you for sharing another interesting gastronomic adventure, this time through the Motherland, Spain. The statue is of one of the Felipes. Nothing more Spanish than churros, tortilla, Iberian ham, wine and sangria. You must visit the Ham Museum, it is a very famous Restaurant. Enjoy Spain and Olé.
Madrid es un bello lugar ❤
Finally you are in Spain!! Bienvenido 😏
Happy to be here!
@@LukeMartin hope you have enjoyed.. we have lots of beautiful places to see and food to eat :) should try Paella
Senang melihat videomu luke, salam kenal dari Indonesia, good luck...
Oooh, all the food looked delicious. Brings back fond memories as I got engaged there 8 years go. I lived in the Mercado haha
Looks great! I might be going to Spain soon! I can’t wait to try the food!!!!
Have fun!
You gave me will to try tripe soup. That's how good your food description is :)
Hope you enjoy
Love to watch all the Luke food 🍛 🥘 🥗 vlogs
Fun fact: "mojar el churro" is slang for sexy time here. I genuinely laughed when I listened to "dip the churro".
Is it for churros' shape or for its colour? :D :D :D
Yum
7:45 Those are "calamares a la romana". Nobody ate them with bread until the 60s. Then, somebody in a bar thought that those calamari, which couldn't be well preserved for the next day (there were no freezers like we have today), could be "acceptable" in a sandwich for the hungry young people after partying all night for a small fee. And thus the "bocadillo de calamares" (calamari sandwich) was born. People liked it, and up to today.
Yummy 😋❤
Another ejoyable video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Que bueno
Looks all very yummy and calamari looks delicious but does needs a sauce - garlicky sauce but loving your blogs x looking forward to seeing euro trip but please you should visit Cyprus please x

How do you manage to not be overweight Luke? Must be difficult to manage eating all that delicious food!
Pukes it up afterwards 🤢
Because Europeans walk everywhere and eat amaller portions
Third comment huge fan from Pakistan....
Our hotel was very near Mercado San Miguel … good thing was having different types vermouth there before calling it a night
That tortilla looked heavenly. Where were the gambas al Ajillo?
Also very good!

Buena
I could litterally plan a trip to Madrid just to stay and eat at mercado de San Miguel. Last time I came back with 5 pounds of cured meat (pata negra, lomo, jamón iberico...) in my luggage 😋
luke i missed u strolling around street food in asia, hope u visit Indonesia or other around ASAP
bueno
I love that Godzilla tracker hat shirt…. Omg where can I get that!?
Hade no idea you where in my city
Loved the video, but the salsa/mernegue sound in the backgroung is kinda weird for a video about spanish food
😋😋😋😋
You look identical to Marcello Ascani, an italian youtuber!!!!❤
The calamari sandwich looked actually quite smart. The first thing I thought when I saw it was a squeeze of lemon and don’t eat the bread. Maybe the bread is used to soak up the oil. Was the calamari nice and tender? Or was it over cooked and chewy? It looked nice from here 😊
very tender and not too much batter! Definitely needed lemon
Hola, ¿que tal? Are you still in Madrid? I’m currently in Madrid. Love your videos
😎👍🔥
😋👍
omg the churros looked absolutely divine 😍Madrid looks so beautiful
They were and Madrid is gorgeous!!
7:10. Got the ol’ stink eye.
In New Orleans they have a French Fry Po’Boy.
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
A curious thing that maybe you don't know, no matter how much people from the outside think that sangria is a typical Spanish drink, practically no Spaniards drink it, only tourists do.
Tampoco.
Do you use any LUTS on your videos?
Not sure what that is
@@LukeMartin video overlays that change the appearance of the video. They can be to give it a retro look or other things.
Siuuuu 😂🎉
🤪🤤❤
I think I'd like the bigger one but no choc

"It's not like Western hot chocolate". Where do you think Spain is?
What Luke said is that "it's not the same as hot chocolate back home in Canada" where he grew up.
@@Steve-bw9bs Before that - he said "it's not like Western hot chocolate"
Giant Hair on that sardine tapa
Yup there was, we filmed it. Noticed. Than returned and got another one haha
Is food in Spain the same as the Spanish foods in the United States and all South America here???
Wtf
Finally some relief from East Asian cuisine. We are tired of that 🙃
Ask for sauce for your calamari.
I think that you order media tortilla (half tortilla) and not a medium portion of tortilla 😂
The "sardines" were ANCHOVIES
Youre right sorry
"Western" chocolate? Where do you thing Spain, geographically, economically, politically and historically, is?
I guess he means the hot chocolate that we all know in our countries: hot water and cocoa powder.
San Ginés is totally over-rated. Los churros y chocolate is much better in Chocolat on la Calle de Santa María. The chocolate there is much better than San Ginés. Just because the building is very old, it does not mean what they serve is good. It is a tourist trap, unfortunately.
Don't be ridiculous. San Ginés is an institution. There are plenty of chocolaterías, of course, and you might prefer one over another (I prefer "Valor" for the chocolate, not the churros, for instance), but the churros at San Ginés are perfect and the quality of the chocolate is good. Not the best in my opinion, but very decent. In fact, San Ginés is the most popular chocolatería among Spaniards, and it's a tradition in many groups of friends, when young, to start the year there on the 1st of January morning after a night of partying (they are always open). No, definitely San Ginés is not a trap for anybody. If you prefer others more, it's up to you, but you can't discredit a business just because.
Wow, all the waiters and other restaurant and bar/cafés staff that appear in the video, are Latin American. We really do have massive immigration from there 😬
That Anchovies & Butter on toast has a nice long piece of hair on it. 🤢😂
Yes youre right we noticed before we ate it thankfully but after we already took a close up shot of it. We returned it and I ate a new one
I think u guys well you drink to much liquor. is it a Canadian thing
Been Spain many times but i am not a fan of their food at all 🤢 But glad you enjoyed it!
Stick to your burgers and pizzas, kid.
@@Kakonan don't like either kid. Ironically currently in Granada and starving only tapas and beer around here.
Did luke and samantha break up? I must be late to the party
She is married to an Indian guy now and he's with a thai lady
The downside of these video's always is, feeling gaining weight just by watching this.. 😅😆😂 "Or is it just Me?" And Why? the French La Vie en Rose Music with these Spanish Stuffed Mushrooms? Haha
noticed that french la vie en rose too, but i think the music comes from the restaurant's background
I’m gonna start saying be a little more respectful when you’re filming an statue That’s Felipe III in the plaza and The chocolatería has 130 years old not 100, don’t meant to disrespect you video but please prepare yourself and be more accurate informative.

Disappointing video.
Luke is getting tired of his endless travel and it shows!
Classic French music instead of Spanish music.
"I don't know who's statue this is"
"These pigs are eating almost exclusively acorns" - No they don't! Because acorns are only available for a very short period of time in Autumn!
I think you are being quite negative. Please dont forget, that this a free channel. And Luke doesnt claims to know about history and things like that, its about food in his videos.
I thought this video was good. I’m pretty sure he didn’t choose the music. If you’d listen, this is not a voice over. And who cares if he doesn’t know the statue? He’s not a tour guide, he’s a foodie. I have seen a million statues all over Europe and couldn’t tell you who most of them are. Buddy, go there yourself and read the placard. Geez!

What is it with these youtubers. They are obssesed with food. Churros are lethal. Fried dough. With chocolate. So unhealthy. Choose Abs. Or stacks of unhealthy food .
Spain isn’t western?
hi luke i watch all your videos but why did't you go to portugal a place that been neglet by lots of foodies it will be nice if you could go there and show us their food culture thank you
Next video is from Portugal!
