Join STEM instructor and senior Discovery Center educator David McDonald as he reveals some pretty neat aspects of math. Think math is hard and boring? You MUST check this out! Think math is the greatest language on Earth? You MUST check this out! We will explore fun patterns in numbers and patterns in nature that will amaze you. What could you do with a rope that circles Earth at the equator? How can you PROVE that 1 = 2? Like to play “Let’s Make a Deal?” I can guarantee I can help you to increase your chances of choosing the right door (you know the one with the car and not the goat) every time. Come one, come all, it's time for PHUN with MATH!
David McDonald, M.Ed., has loved math since middle school when he joined an adult math book club and cherishes those books to this day. Dave has previously been the Director of Education at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center for ten years. He has instructed classes at Granite State College, NHTI, Plymouth State University Graduate School, and currently at Belmont High School. Dave brings a wealth of information in an understandable way featuring his light-hearted approach to exploring math.
