Even if you’re not from the Northeast, you’ve probably heard of the classic “Nor’easter” storm-but what exactly is a Nor’easter and how do they form? Join Mount Washington Observatory’s Director of Science & Education Brian Fitzgerald, as we explore these classic storms and their associated impacts in New England and on the summit of Mount Washington.
Brian Fitzgerald got his undergraduate degree in Environmental Conservation Studies from the Unversity of New Hampshire and then a Master's of Education from Boston University. He has been a naturalist and educator for the Appalachian Mountain Club; Chief Weather Observer at the Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center; and observer, educator, and now Director of Science and Education at the Mount Washington Observatory.
