    The quality of materials used and the way things were engineered back then made things so fixable and restorable. Unlike today's cheap and nasty throwaway age. Love the colours by the way......like you say, vintage eye candy.

    I'm surprised that motorcycle restoration people haven't hit you up to powdercoat their fenders and other parts. I really like the finish! Can't get over it!

    Besides turning out beautiful, what amazes me the most is how you remember where every little piece goes, on reassembly, after you've taken it apart. I'm not mechanically inclined at all, so to me you're a mechanical genius.

      I was holding my breath when you applied the clear coat and it turned everything WHITE!!!!😯😯😯
      I thought "Dear god,I hope this stuff works!!!"..
      Thankfully, it did and I could breathe again!!!😂😂😂

    Was nervous for you at first. Once that damn bearing fell out, I cursed out loud! lol Never knew a hair dryer could have so many parts. Never really gave it a thought. Can't imagine what a modern one would have. Excellent job ! The clear chrome and Candy clear red was the right call bud.

    Nice restoration Martin, the red really pops with the clear coat 👍 One little tip, the brushes go in after the armature is installed. They're meant to slide into the holders with the square brass part against the black cap, in order to maintain an even spring pressure on them. If those square brass parts are tight in the holder, they can cause premature brush/armature failure, or, as they wear, fail to maintain brush pressure on the armature leading to arching.
