It's not the colours that give it a vintage look, it's the vintage that gives it a vintage look, chuckle. Very nice job
I love your restorations. Its a great way to wind down the day seeing you renew/remake discarded objects. I fall asleep to your videos. That's not a slam. Please keep posting.
Good choice on the new finish and colors. I like it better than the blue.
Happy wife with this great restoration. Kudos.
Neat. It's nice to see these vintage electrical items been giving a new life. Again the red candy apple colour really pops.
Thanks bud

Climbing rope attached to a plug!!! Mate that's genius!! 🤣 Great restore!!
Thanks bud
Absolutely stunning. Wonderful job.
Superb restoration and color ! Thanks for sharing !
Didn't know they had hand driers in the 1940's. Good work!
Haha, yes they did lol
That candy red is amazing !
Excellent work, those colors suit it well!
The quality of materials used and the way things were engineered back then made things so fixable and restorable. Unlike today's cheap and nasty throwaway age. Love the colours by the way......like you say, vintage eye candy.
I agree Chris
Stunning restoration as always.
Wow that's a lot of parts , well built back then .
Looks excellent the powder coating is going great you must be well pleased.

I'm surprised that motorcycle restoration people haven't hit you up to powdercoat their fenders and other parts. I really like the finish! Can't get over it!
Thanks bud
Nice work sir. The powder coat colors certainly do set it off. But alas...it would sit on the shelf in my bathroom. You see I'm bald. But hey I bet my wife would love it. Seriously....great resto. my friend.
Thanks Paul
Love the color change
wow a metal hair dryer, you don't see them anymore these days lol, another great retrohax restore job Martin.
Thanks bud
Spectacular Martin
I loved the colors, nice job
Besides turning out beautiful, what amazes me the most is how you remember where every little piece goes, on reassembly, after you've taken it apart. I'm not mechanically inclined at all, so to me you're a mechanical genius.
Great job Martin. I think it looks better than original. The colors you picked does give it a vintage look. Your powder coating skills are really getting fantastic.
Keep the great videos coming.

Was nervous for you at first. Once that damn bearing fell out, I cursed out loud! lol Never knew a hair dryer could have so many parts. Never really gave it a thought. Can't imagine what a modern one would have. Excellent job ! The clear chrome and Candy clear red was the right call bud.

Candy red was such a good choice of color! it makes it look very elegant😍
Beautiful!
A first class restoration, looks a very solid unit and well made considering the age, brilliant.
Nice restoration, the colors that you have chosen are much better than the originals. You given a modern look that marries perfectly the vintage.
Something different that you don't see getting restored Top Job on bringing it back to life.
Looks better than factory.
That looks great thanks
Looks really good
Nice restoration Martin, the red really pops with the clear coat 👍 One little tip, the brushes go in after the armature is installed. They're meant to slide into the holders with the square brass part against the black cap, in order to maintain an even spring pressure on them. If those square brass parts are tight in the holder, they can cause premature brush/armature failure, or, as they wear, fail to maintain brush pressure on the armature leading to arching.
Yes Gary, I had to make these brushes out of larger brushes but they seem fine with no arching.
@@RetroHax I was wondering where you'd got the brushes from 👍
brilliant job Martin.
Thanks David
You did a great job, Martin. The colors and paint job are gorgeous. It's quieter than my new blow dryer.
Raised the bar there Martin. It gets better every restoration/powder coating you do(and I got my media blasting fix)!Win Win.
