- This old lamp has been neglected and I found it at a jumble sale for 50 Pence 90 cents Is it worth restoring? you tell me. I decided to bling it up with some Candy Red and chrome Powder Coating.

I could be wrong on this, but that "pressed together" part you were on about... if I recall correctly they would put it all in place, but the tube would be uniform the whole way, then they would press it on a die to flare the end out in a bell shape like that.
Also that powder coat worked a treat. Nice job!

Absolutely perfect. I really like the high chrome finish. It looks so real chrome. The decision to refurbish anything has very little to do with the manufacturing cost or country of origin. It has everything to do with your refurbishing abilities...at least in my opinion. You did the proper thing. Looks amazing. If you make such decisions based on cost, than nothing deserves to be refurbished. Because nearly every refurbishing effort cost more in labor hours then it did to manufacture... Sorry for the long reply. Thumbs Up Martin!
