I ALWAYS struggled with chipping! Phil Mickelson’s “hinge and hold” looked easy but I could never hold the “hinge” part UNTIL I tried the index finger down the shaft and it worked brilliantly!! Best golf tip EVER! Forever grateful!!

This works for me I use he finger for putting too.
Why not just chip that way?
