Russell Westbrook missed his first game of the year, officially listed out with "back tightness," but LA still managed to have 21 turnovers without him. Everyone is so quick to blame a 33 year old Russ but the real reason their not gonna win this season is because AD. At age 28 in his physical prime he just doesn’t know how to impose his will throughout the entire game and when he tries to put his max effort he ends up getting injured. People say Lebron's playing great but is he really? In a lot of these games, Bron's been out there when the game is over trying to get his 30. He's second in the league in fast break points and is losing to teams that are honestly horrible. These blazers just got beat by 25 by the MAGIC and then turn around and beat Lebron and AD. Once I heard about LA losing to Portland, I was already thinking about what Shannon and Skip had to say about this.
Proof Russ isn't the problem. Westbrook needs to handle the ball whwn all three are on court. If lebron played as a power forward traditionally they could turn it around.
Westbrick is a huge problem but the main problem is they have 6-7 guys starting or playing heavy rotation minutes that would be racking up DNP-CD’s on just about any other team. Avery Bradley got cut from the Warriors and is starting. Stanley Johnson got cut from the Raptors yet he’s a top player on this team. Those two and THT, Reaves, Dwight, Ariza would barely be getting minutes on any other team, but they’re the Lakers main guys. That’s the problem. Should have traded Kuz, Trezz and KCP for some better rotational players instead of Russ’s bloated contract and awful shooting and ball-handling.

It’s almost like a team that doesn’t move much on either side, atleast slower, had a compensating spark plug that forced action but had no other choice at times . Pace of play slows, rebounding slows, outlets slow…Thus when said spark plug is missing, another fills the role and it shows in their play. Russ was hiding a symptom of the Lakers. Let me school you since your basketball IQ is below average. The lower seeds teams benefited from playing in the bubble because the high ranked teams like the Lakers and others didn't get that chance in the playoffs to play on their home court and you and I know that having a home court advantage helps you win. Your crowd can get you going but in the bubble all the teams were equals, no home court advantage. Who cares if other dumb Lakers fans and you don't consider the bubble.
