- Rangefinder got a pretty big nerf at the start of Season of the Witch, and it went from being a top tier perk last season, to an absolute waste of a perk slot pretty fast. It's still a really good perk on low zoom SMGs, but on pretty much everything else, you are better off going with something different :)

I've always liked RF for the stability & accuracy it provides, I kept my BXR with rangefinder perpetual motion and it feels better than ever.
I mean they did change the zoom on those pulses so yeah I can see that

True Prophecy is in my top 3 favourite weapons in d2 bro, it feels so nice and looks so clean.

Rangefinder tighten cone and increase aim assist fall off. Its not the best in slot anymore but its def not an d tier perk
For aggressive play it is just downright awful man. For more passive play it’s still good, but RF also has the downside of zooming you in more.
@@Gravlyy its more or less a preference thing, a lot of ppl has gotten used to the increase of zoom it has. Even back when rangefinder gave range, ppl were still using it for aggressive play even with the increase of zoom. They may have not noticed it but the tightened cone and further aim assist fall off helps ur fight, personally my killing wind range finder pali and my rangefinder moving target eyas feels more sticky than a roll without it. And yea not everyone can get past that zoom but its not awful if u van take advantage of the positive it give

Yes it does, try hitting someone up close zoomed in with a sniper and then try the same thing with a slug shotgun. Both will one tap, one is significantly easier to do so with.
Lower zoom = easier close range shots
@@Gravlyymaybe I didn't ask it clearly. How does rangefinder pre/post nerf affect your peripherals? I'm not comparing it to non-rangefinder. I'm saying you're arguing against rangefinder, but the point you made has nothing to do with a nerf.
@@InTheZoneAC Yes it does? Rangefinder used to make up for less peripheral vision by giving you bonus range. You no longer get that tradeoff which effectively makes rangefinder a much worse perk.
@@Gravlyyyes that makes sense. Just the way you phrased it you never argued the lack of range, just the fact that it took away your field of vision. I agree that not having that field of vision has always been a disadvantage.
