he was injured and not in form
He did play in the 1986 world cup (he scored the winning penalty against Mexico in the QF) but was not a certain starter. It was a blunder by Beckenbauer as even out of form, he was a player who could make a difference. Beckenbauer had a history of not trusting maverick attacking talents like Littbarski. I believe in both the 1986 final against ARgentina and the 1990 semi-final Littbarski would have made a difference.
Cologne was never that good again as in the early to mid 80s.

Well, it's not a highlights compilation, it's all touches from a certain game. As for Kalle - I do consider the latter a better player (by some margin), but I wouldn't agree with you on the dribbling part.

When you would say Kalle was a better finisher, or a better header you would be right. But Litti is one of the best dribblers of all times. When it comes to dribbling Rumenigge wasn't even close.

Das Spiel hab ich live im Müngersdorfer Stadion gesehen. Und es war ein super schönes und sehr spannendes Spiel !
Der FC hat Inter teilweise an die Wand gespielt.
Selbst italienische Freunde haben damals gesagt, dass die falsche Mannschaft gewonnen hat. Und das zu Recht !
