Quick Barre Workout at Home // No Equipment, All Standing, Feel Good Exercises

  • Join me for this quick and effective express barre workout! These exercises are appropriate for all ages and levels. You don't need any equipment except a chair to use as a base of support. All exercises are performed in a standing position.
    You will feel great after completing this workout that not only increases your heart rate but is great for strengthening and lengthening your muscles.
    No former dance or barre experience is needed to do this workout. Some of the benefits of barre include: better posture, balance and full body toning and shaping. You will feel muscles you forgot you had!

    What a wonderful series of workouts you have. I am 74 and always exercised and been fit but in the last few years I have become lazy and uninspired, however your workouts have got my spark back to get fit again. I love the blue workout area and music, so relaxing while working out. I am so glad I have found you. Thank you.

      Wow! What a nice complement for you and me ;). I swear by barre for body shaping too. I started after my second child was born and was shocked at how it changed my body. It's the reason I became an instructor!

    Lauren - you are so elegant in this workout and lovely to watch. At 17.08 minutes you said to all of us ”I hope you feel graceful”, which was very encouraging though in my case that was possible in my head but not in my body!

      I love it Martin! You only need to feel it in your head. That's all that matters. Once it's in your head (and sits there awhile) it will eventually come out through the body with more practice :)

    Wow! I love this workout routine and all of your workouts. I’m so glad I’ve found this channel. I’m 61and suffer from chronic pain. I have osteoarthritis and have had a knee and shoulder replacement. I get a very effective and efficient workout following your routine without my joints aching and my lower back hurting. I’ve only been doing this for about two months and can see vast improvements. Thank you Lauren

    I just recently found your channel and immediately subscribed. I'm also in my 30's but its hard to find workouts that don't start hurting my joints. I have early onset of arthritis and your workouts allow you to get a good workout without the pain. Please continue to give us more barre workouts this was so much fun. You have such a kind and gentle manner about you and its enjoyable to be doing workouts with you. Thank you for such a breath of fresh air on your channel! Keep up the good work!

    Thank you for a gentle, feel-good workout! I'm new to Barre and decided I better start with a short one and work my way up. This one is great for working on posture and flexibility. It's nice to do something unique!

    I wanted to take ballet as a little girl but was told I was too clumsy. This - at age 69 - was my first experience with it. I love it! The emphasis on core and balance are particularly wonderful. Thank you!

    Ballet has always been my favorite dance discipline. I try to do barre on a regular basis to wake up my muscles.

    this standing barre workout is wonderful. Please do more standing barre workouts they are my favorite of your exercises. I'm in my 30s but have been having trouble with my body the past couple of years, I'm really grateful for your challenging yet gentle exercises.     Hey Lauren-Just finished the quick barre, still one of my favs! I have been doing your workouts for close to 3+ years, and continue to be consistent! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Quick question/request: really trying to firm up under arm(by side bra strap)-can you make/suggest a 15 minute routine/video for that area? TIA 🥰

    1. Ballet lesson of my life, woohoo. I always wanted to do a barre workout, but was too shy to go to a class as I have the grace of a baby elephant. Really enjoyed it, and I am aiming to do one of your versatile workouts a day even if it is only a 10 min one. Yesterday Pilates, today Barre, maybe some kickboxing tomorrow ;)

    Nice, but am I seeing the knees going too far over the toes in plie? That's not good form, nor is it good for people with knee problems or replacements.

      It all depends on an individuals flexibility. It's more important to not allow the knee to go to the sides of the foot. You always want to keep it in line. Many people get that confused.
