  • A detailed review of the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal canister vacuum. We show all the features and also run a host of tests including carpet, hard floor, hair, edges, noise level, etc. See it on Amazon: amzn.to/3SiS0sB
    You can also view our written review at: vacuum-cleaner-advisor.com/Dy...
    We introduce the vacuum and the premise behind Cinetic Technology, then follow up by walking through and discussing every tool and accessory provided with the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Pro model. We show how the tools can be used on the end of the hose, the end of the handle, and on the end of the wand.
    We provide a more detailed discussion of Cinetic Technology and how the smaller cyclones work to speed up airflow and remove very, very small particles from the airstream. This ensures that the filters do not have to do that much of the heavy lifting and allows them to last the lifetime of the vacuum. The unit has HEPA level filtration which is a boon for those suffering from asthma or allergies.
    The cleaning reach of the vacuum is average and we discuss the length of the wand, the hose and the power cord. In addition, the wand is extendable from 2 ft 1inch to 3 ft 4inches. We compare the overall cleaning reach of the Cinetic Big Ball Animal canister vacuum to that of the Ball Animal 3 upright vacuum.
    Weight and movement are discussed and we show how the light hose, wand, and cleaner head make movement easy. However the heavier canister portion of the machine is significant and you can feel that is a bit of work to pull it along behind you on carpet. It is easier to move on hard flooring.
    We perform a noise level test using a digital noise level meter which measures peak decibels. A table compare the noise level of the Cinetic Big Ball Animal to a host of other vacuums that we have reviewed and tested.
    The power in air watts of the vacuum is discussed and we walk through all of the vacuum controls - both on the handle and on the canister body.
    The cleaner head is not motorized and we discuss how the cleaner head works and show how to remove the brushroll for easy cleaning (which is necessary if you have lots of hair to deal with).
    We show how to empty the vacuum and also some of the dust canisters pitfalls.
    A host of cleaning tests are performed and we test the vacuum using fine/small/medium size debris on low pile carpet and hard flooring (tile). We calculate percentage pickup by weight. In addition, we test movement on very deep pile carpet.
    A hair test using long human hair and short pet hair is performed where we watch how the cleaner head picks up hair, if the brushroll gets bogged down, and how much (if any) hair gets tangled on the brushroll. This unit does not have any de-tangling technology in the cleaner head.
    The final test is an edge cleaning test and we use chili flakes against a wall to see how much will be picked up when we run the machine tight up along the wall.
    We also quickly discuss vacuum models and pricing in the USA and Canada.

    I have been using one for many years. The floor brush clogs because the side facing suction orifices are too small. The carpet rotary brush swivel gets full of dog / cat hair and you can't suck it out. The "hidden" filter in the base clogs up and retains dog odor. I have one on order but they are very hard to get and you have to disassembly to the motor to change it, it costs $90. In Arizona I guess we have finer dirt, the cyclone tips do clog, I blow out the entire unit about every month. Yes the power cord is too short but not a huge problem. My Neumatic Henry works much better and is quieter and the power head works much better for carpet, it also uses a bag so there only one filter to shake out when replacing the bag which lasts a long time.The Dyson is $599 and the Henry is $469.

    I just got the Outsize Absolute. I can't imagine buying a corded vacuum ever again. The amount of runtime with 2 batteries and a large bin are everything I could ever need. Now is as good a time to switch to cordless as ever!

      The efficiency made within dyson cordless stik vacs today is second to none. Their batteries literally hold less charge than batteries in flagship cellphones today like the note 20 ultra or apple 13 yet can run for a good amount of time. Thats really good combined with the freedom cordless gives u

    Thanks so much for this as I just opened up my new dyson box and didn't have a clue what to do with all those bits and pieces.....so thank you again! The instruction manual is pretty useless as it doesn't explain parts which it should, and font too small to read! Given the cost of my Dyson one would imagine they'd include an indepth description of how to use these tools or at least what they're for.......very slack of Dyson to leave that out of a $1K+ gadget!!!!

    Is there any advantage other than filter maintenance when compared to the ball animal 3 complete? Is this style supposed to be more powerful than an upright?

  • @admacdo

    If you didn't want the spinning brush working, you can just remove it as you would for cleaning and just not put it back in, but replace the side door.

  • @blackice7408
    @blackice7408 Před rokem +8

    Dyson should've used the XL torque drive anti hair cleaner head from their outsized cordless vacs on this machine. Suction driven brush heads are not good for carpets. They have to make the bristles soft to reduce the resistance because suction driven brushrolls can only move based on the level of suction the turbine receives. And soft bristles don't deep clean carpets

    • @1stRanger
      @1stRanger Před měsícem

      About 99.9% is filtered by the cyclone and what's left can't clog the filter in its lifetime. So you don't need to clean it and it's not serviceable anyway, as you have to disassemble the unit.
