    Thanks ! I’m actually going to paint some Plastic lattice like that . I didn’t like the white it comes in. Going for green so it doesn’t take away from the Jasmine. I’ll use your tips .

      How did it turn out?? I have a carport that has lattice already but replacing it with privacy lattice but only comes in white and was thinking about painting it. Is it holding up good?

      @@ed2901 haven’t done the lattice part yet . Guess I’m really taking my time . I painted some of the pipes. They turned out good . I have the pipes in the ground and once the lattice is done I’ll attach it . Too bad I can’t post pics in the comments .

      Took a few months to get back to the project but I finished my lattice and pvc pipe trellis for my Jasmine . Turned out great.

    How did you get the paint off your wood house😬

      Yes, when I was doing the video, I didn’t realize I was getting overspray on the screen so I just replaced the screen. Thank you for your comment and if you can leave me a thumbs up..

    Was looking to paint some corrugated plastic top fencing. That sit on top of cynder block fence. For added privacy. I wanted both to match same color.
    Thanks for the tips. Steel wool pads, primer, then two coats of paint.
    Thanks for the tips... Papa

    How would you prep brand new white vinyl lattice for a black rattle can spray paint? Would you still sand it? Thanks!

    • @buildingwithpapa
      @buildingwithpapa  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you for your question I would use a steel wall and then either denatured alcohol or isopropyl make sure you either use the primer or the spray can you have is a paint and primer. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and if you can leave me a thumbs up.

    Everytime I paint plastic it never real sticks and peels off extremely easy or scratches right off... anything I can do different?

    • @buildingwithpapa

      1977poboy Did you watch these processes you say sandpaper first or steel wool then the important part is to clean it with denatured alcohol let it dry and then use a good primer stiks is a very good primer and then paint whatever paint you want over it try that let me know how it works

      Why worry? Use a drop cloth like everyone does. Only a few bucks at any store which has paint products. Too stingy for that? Just save up your Amazon boxes and use the cardboard. Don't buy much online? Simply have your least favorite family members create a human wall behind the object being painted, while wearing their Sunday best.

      I always wanted one wall and window of the garage to have a light coat of green after i finished spraying the garden furniture. Paint on the glass hasn’t peeled at all.

    And kids, be sure to hold the can only 2 or 3 inches from the object you are painting, like in this instructional video. Otherwise, you won't get any of those lovely drips. I once followed the directions on the can, and stayed around 12 inches from the plastic novelty bum-spanker I was painting. When I was finished, not a single drip. I was so disappointed. Never again! Oh, and NEVER use a drop cloth. Otherwise you'll miss out on getting overspray all over your walls/floors. And then your family will have nothing to yell at you about. Where's the fun in that?
