Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. Housing projects are pretty normal in New York, but even though the show is in New York, half of the audience are tourists from the mid west with too much privilege to know what housing projects are really like.

The first time I ever heard his natural accent I knew he was was Glasgow. They have a very distinctive accent. A good chunk of Glasgow is blue collar, and they are some of the friendlist people you will ever meet.
MsShawnPhx His voice is how I realized one of his fellow Scots, Robert Carlyle, was also a fellow Glaswegian. I saw the season 5 retrospective for "Once Upon A Time", & I thought Robert's accent was way too similar to James's, for it to be coincidence.

I’ve actually been to Glasgow. I flew in when I was headed to Helensburgh to visit my husband on deployment. We explored the touristy areas of Glasgow and I can safely say that Scotland is the most breathtakingly beautiful place I have ever been.

One thing I love about Scotland is how open we are. Even the way Colbert edges onto the subject you can see the difference in attitudes him and James have to social class roots. People aren't ashamed of their working class roots if they move up.in the world, if they are British, especially the Scots.
He is literally my dream man. The accent, the looks, the charm.

I think it's because they see beyond the colorful images on the page. Take away the superpowers for a second. Charles and Erik have personality traits that millions of people share. Patrick, James, Ian, and Michael are experts at tapping into those kinds of emotions. They know how to dig deep, not caring about anything but telling a good story and sharing the lessons the characters demonstrate. That's what makes them such great actors.
