I have a suggestion in regards to your comment about planning 20 minutes a day. For some people, it might be overwhelming to set aside 20 minutes to plan each day. Instead, break it down into two 10 minute sessions. The morning session could be writing down what needs to be done that day and the evening session could be checking off the things that got done during the day, brainstorming, journaling, etc. One thing I do at the beginning of the month is to do a brain dump of all the things I would like to do for the month, note wacky holidays, etc. Next, on the other side of the paper I divide it into quarters. Each quarter is a week of the month. I use my brain dump list then decide what week I want to get things done and use that list to schedule my week. You can also use the list to prioritize what needs to get done throughout the week. Oh, one final tip is to keep your planner visible to make you look at it each day. Welcome new planner friends to the community.

I leave my planner open on the kitchen table. When I go sit down to breakfast, it's the first thing I see. It reminds me to use it daily.

My husband hates it when I do that. To him, an open planner on the counter looks like _clutter_. 😦 But what good is a planner to me that stays "nice and neat" over on the desk?! 😔

Heather, I love that you talk to everyone as a friend andI love to see the excitement you show about planners. I use my planner throughout the day, but the most important one for me is, my medicine. I put stickers on each day for morning and night meds. I love to check it off in the planner. I also keep track of my mood in a tracker and my husbands shots, that I have to give to him twice a week. Since this is my person planner, i can put what ever i want in it and not worry about co-workers judging me. I have a separate planner for work. Love your videos and keep doing what your doing. I see a lot of new planner fans on here. Good job.

I've been a planner for about 23 years. In high school we were required to keep a planner even if we didn't write anything in it. I started using the big Happy Planner in 2019 and like it. At first it was overwhelming because I was laid off from work Jan 2nd and suddenly had a lot of free time on my hands and blank space in my planner. After evolving through 2019 I created a layout plan that works for me. I use vertical planners and divide each day in to three sections (if the planner doesn't already come that.) My top box is for weekly crap that I know I need to do like change the bed sheets and put the trash out. The second box is planning stuff like dinner out with the girls, NCIS premiere, bills, payday, expecting a package from Amazon, etc. The last box is my TaDa! box (or TaDah if your southern) i.e. what did I accomplish that day. Today I spend two hours cleaning house and my living room no longer looks like a cat play room and I finished putting Christmas away so that is what I wrote in today's box. It helps me keep track of what hasn't been done, what needs to be done and when was the last time it was done. For twenty years trash day has been on Tuesday and I forget at least once a month.

Hannah, if you feel your relationship with God isn't how it should be then ask him to help you with it. Asking for his help may stop the guilt. This year I started writing out my prayers in a journal and it helped me be better disciplined in my prayer life. I tried the Happy Planner faith edition, but the set up wasn't what I needed. In 2020 Happy Planner has more choices for faith planners. There are many CZcams videos on prayer journals, war binders, faith journals. You may want to look at them to help determine what will work best for you. When starting to use a planner or journal for your faith, a simple and easy to use method is more inviting than a very involved system. I hope this helps.
