Back in the day when we used to get milk delivered daily, the local birds..mostly magpies would peck off the foil cap to get the cream that gathered at the top of the milk bottle. Not long after this people started finding stones in their milk bottles. Clever birds dropped them in to raise the milk level so they could reach it.

Paul Saret They work in the UK but in the US where I live and many other states they do nothing. This is because the traffic has very specific patterns and the stop lights have to time it right. They can't just stop traffic to let a person pass. So they are timed to go off at specific points.

I find alot of crows here in Malaysia. Some of whice were friendly to me as i always give them dry rice, peanut, bread and even piece of meat. And they always come to my doorsteps every morning just to wait for me to give them food. Even one time i give them a large salmon fish, the cat kinda disturb them and snich it away from me as the cat just lifted the giant fish as if its just a tiny fish.

Seriously these guys are smart. I personally don’t think animals are stupid, but I certainly know some stupid humans. I salute you all Evians!

  • @MentalRaptors

They must have migrated to/from Europe as well, since I've witnessed this behaviour firsthand about 20 years ago. Same method, dropping the nut from high altitude first (which didn't work) before laying it on the road to be crushed by a car passing by. Quite a show tbh.
