Tokyo's crows are huge almost as big as Grand Canyon ravens. I miss hearing their calls in the mornings and evenings.

This is really bad. My respect for the Japanese has gone downhill. Get some proper metal garbage cannisters + stop persecuting crows just for being alive. No wonder they are attacking humans because evidently the way humans are murdering their babies is pretty traumatising for them. Never heard of crows attacking humans anywhere else. My crows where I live love me, for example, because I give them food + they love me + come + sit on my roof + give me aerobic displays to show how happy they are. Living in peace with the animal kingdom is not hard. Just be kind + peaceful, + sort your own rubbish out so you don't create problems in the first place.
Why not leave food waste out for them at least for them to eat. It would cut down on waste

They attack anybody. I live in Japan and I've been attacked by them four times. The latest time was just today, when two of them attacked me. I've just had back surgery recently and I can't run. I fell down when I tried to get away from them, hurting my shoulder and risking my recently-operated-on back in the process.
So, you won't find any sympathy for the crows from me. They're nasty birds.

@@JustCallMeKen I feed crows in my neighbourhood in the UK. They never attacked anyone here, they sit on my roof + caw at me softly. The only reason crows attack humans where you are, is clear, because the humans are attacking + murdering the crow babies first. Just shows how dumb the humans are where you live. Where I live, crows + humans live in harmony instead.

I know this is an old comment but yeah I hate it. It's a big problem still going on with translations and subtitles too where they don't translate things properly. How is anybody suppose to learn when they take creative liberty when doing the translations? Like at 54 seconds he clearly says sugoi...but the translate it as terrible which is not correct. It's not just this clip, but as somebody who wants to learn japanese having incorrect subtitles like this be the norm is annoying.
@@Dummerbrella987 Maybe find a better source to learn japanese. Translations have to take context into account to put across the right meaning. Also if you look up sugoi, people also use it to express something terrible.
It is called a murder of crows when there are a grouping of the birds... This is one reason why.
I agree with the ornithologist: hang the HANGERS; save the CROWS; and take out the TRASH. Sad. Crows used to be considered sacred in Japan.
This is not a problem in Tokyo anymore. Everyone locks their trash now.

There are ways to kindly and humanly have the crows relocated. This is not kind or necessary.

How dare they act like they can control nature, how dare they act like humans rule the world and have control over nature when they don't. I thought the japanese would be better than this. These japanese people must have done something to upset these highly intelligent crows. They don't attack for no reason. Word has got around in thier group that humans' presence is not welcome. They have decided they do not like humans in general, and that they will communicate thier dislike and distaste. Humans need to respect this. They need to take a fucking step back and get a reality check, whereby they will realise they are not in control of the planet, no matter how much they want to believe that they do. Japan is included, one example would be the 2011 tidal wave. They couldn't stop that, could they? No matter how hard they prayed and begged.

The cycle of Cause and Effect will come back to those who murder innocent chidren and Crows which are similar in inteligence.Certainly there has to be a better solution.Maybe make other areas more attractive to the crows so they wont hang out around garbage.And make a better garbage system..These evil men need to chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo for 100,000 hours and pray for the gratitude and appreciation of life.If not thier lives will become a living hell in the future just like day and fails to turn into night.!

I've seen footage of crows attacking humans, but evidently if the humans are going around killing the baby crows when they are nesting, it's only natural the crows feel like they need to defend their babies from the humans.
