Seth's dedication to not fixing it in post is my favorite part of this show
Seth's response to the soup joke with the wrong graphic - I love this show.
hopefully you’re also the corrections jackal? If not, there’s a lot of beautiful things waiting for you… :)
@@alumpyhorse correction: I'm at best only one of many of the corrections jackals. Hail to the tribe!
He does so well with rolling with it with his wits.
@@DennisMoore664 curses! Thank you, fellow jackal, for your alacrity (a defining characteristic of the corrections jackal tribe)….
What was the joke tho? Mona Lisa...pumpkins .... And a car? I feel like even a blind person wouldn't get the joke.
Can we hear how that meeting went during corrections this week 😂 3:12
I second this.
Third with interest
I kinda think they made it up, just to make more content for corrections.
@@rayneweber5904I think it was a Wally Flub. New Corrections segment!!
We need this story.
I feel like every time Seth covers his eyes like that, he knows he's gonna have to hear so many Jackals.
Ahh, another addition to our favorite segment, Human Flubs. Also known as Corrections.
As humans are animals…you should know better but thank you for that invitation to a jackalling 😉😘🐾
This is why Seth is my favorite late night host. I love most of them, but Seth and his team just bring it in a special way. It's just as funny watching his response to a joke bombing as it is to hear one landing.
On reflection, he reacts the same way to a bombed joke that Johnny Carson always did.
"May an enraged squirrel run up your daughter's wedding dress."
@@raymondm.9954 at the First Self-righteous Church?
I kind of agree... Colbert is my number one, since he is legit the funniest and sharpest one of the bunch. I also love John Oliver, but his show (which is great!) depresses me so much that i find myself avoiding it. Kimmel is okay, and I hate Fallon. Seth is not very funny (sorry), but he IS consistently kind, genuine, warm-hearted, self-deprecating, careful, smart, empathetic, and is able to roll with the punches in ways that only make him more endearing, even when it's not all that funny. It's like his superpower is likability, but it is one he works really hard to earn, by being a genuinely good person and compassionate leader and mentor for his team.
He is my beloved underdog late night host, and his wholesomeness must be protected at all costs.
Seth Meyers is adorable. Period
I love Seth's exasperated ' rubbing his eyes with the heels of his hands'.
He's pulling a reverse Pale Man😅
Yah! I saw the Ring graphics on the Monalisa joke and I thought “what the heck?” but I like the rest of the monologue 😊
...you mean his palms?
@@housevisandyeah the part of the hand before the long toes
I think he realised he was going to get a disappointed text from his mom, the French teacher 😉
Seths meltdown and improv are always the funniest bits 🎉👍☺️
Absolutely!!
I have to say, as a local French immigrant living in Arkansas, Seth's quick switch between French and Arkansas accents was spot on.
My thought is it was an Airbus employee from the factory there. But they are in Alabama. One of those A states.
@@michaelrmurphy2734 Alaska. Arizona. Seen one, seen 'em all.
Was that a northern or southern French accent Seth put on display?
HAHAHA!!! Not to mention Alberta!
@@amyschindler9062 lol, I'm a dummy from Iowa that studied French from a teacher from Côte d'Ivoire, my accent is part Swedish from Minnesota and part German from movies.
I love the flubs. Those honest moments with Seth and the audience are amazing.
The joke landed with a thud, but the reaction by Seth was 😂
I sense a Surprise Inspection coming soon 😂
This was the funniest monolog 😂 I hope the jackals have fun with this one 😂😂
Gotta say, it takes a real humorist and professional performer to be able to find the funny and roll with it live on camera with millions watching when things go wrong. Talk about fast on his feet …❤ It amazes me that anyone can feel that comfortable in his own skin to just keep rolling under those circumstances. Wow!
Seth Meyers is the only comedian who flubs a monologue yet still succeeds in making me laugh. 😂❤
Love how Seth rolls with it. Wrong graphic? Dropped joke in the Cue cards? Cracks up and keeps going! ❤❤❤
Can we hear how that meeting went during corrections this week 😂 3:12 .
This one really made me wonder if Wally, the writers, and the graphics department conspired to prank Seth! Maybe Mikey the Shoe was in on it too!
The jackals will feast!!😂
I wondered if I was missing something for a fraction of a second (with the graphic), but I think it was the BEST joke. it cut through the confusion with its simple suprise.
Would have been funny if the Mona Lisa graphic appeared during the Ring joke.
Don't be sad about the one failed joke, Seth. It proves the rest of the laughs were real!
Said it before, saying it again. When his jokes are just ok, they're kinda funny. When they land, they're really funny. When they fail hard, he's HILARIOUS! The man is a late night cheat code.
And comments like this show some of the nicest people ever like this show.
What--there was a failed joke? 😮
i honestly think people were just confused by the graphic. I stupidly paused, went back and rewatched it about 6 times, and at one point my brain actually produced this sentence: "wait was the mona lisa arrested"
@@idunnowhatimdoin I laughed before I looked at the picture or realized the audience didn't so you might be right.
Seth's impression of Biden reminds of Andy Samberg's impression of Mark Wahlberg talks to animals 🤣
Omg! Yes!😂
Say hi to ya mutha for me.
4:32 Either Seth's desk is concave or he's developing psychic powers. Or third option, that pencil was trying to escape and Seth stopped it.
I noticed that, too!
30 Rock ghost sighting
The pencil has gained sentience
Ghost pencil!
It looked like he sensed it making a break for it and caught it just in time. 😅
Jackals… ASSEMBLE!!!
0:50 Graphics didn't use Kelce's jersey for that joke? Sounds like Seth needs to have a talk with that department, again.
Should have been a 46 jersey
I love Seth’s graphics encounters!
I thought it was supposed to be 13!!
"This isn't working. We're gonna have to go to the backup monologue. (flip flip flip) Wow, we really procrastinated on updating this thing. It's just 5 straight minutes of Elián González references..."
The Mona Lisa joke cracked me up- I'm glad it didn't get cut.
Seth's Biden impression is so polished. That camp has really paid off!
I now want to see the proposed Mona Lisa soup graphic..
Grrrraphhhiiiiics!
Seth is so funny😂 This segment was great 🎉
🍟🍟🍟... don't mind me, just a jackal stocking up on popcorn for Corrections... (i was part amused, & part concerned....) love ya Seth 🧡🦊🧡
Did you or anyone else notice for the 2nd time that pencil rolls across his desk? (I think it was yesterday's video). Is it like, NBC is so underfunding his show that they give him shoddy desk?
Correction: Aren't those fries emoji?
@@resileaf9501 🍿
oh dear - you're right, opps, my bad. in my defense, had a blinding headache for the last... 3 days and counting (so bad literally affecting my vision - ) (also don't know what _this_ is - one of the 'new' emojis I think - and WHAT is this... 🦛
@@juliaconnell I hope you feel better soon :(
Dead joke? Thats ok, Seth eats those for sustenance. They power him into greater heights.
Each time I see Seth reacting so well to a small mistake from his team, I'm reminded of the "We'll Do It LIVE!" segment from Bill O'Reilly. People really show you who they truly are when under pressure.
(except maybe OceanGate's CEO)
😂@@antoinefdu
and for any of us who forget, a good samaritan always brings it up every single video.
Can't wait for corrections this week.
ahhh, it was a great monologue Seth!
You would think that if Trump was sharper now then he was 20 years ago he would remember he was a democrat back then.
“I’ve been around for a long time and it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans.” -Donald Trump
So he turned into an old man.
For me the bigger issue with his statement is so is a butter knife. Nobody's reaction to the McDonalds commercial was that man needs to be president.
Exactly. That commercial made me Grimmace 😏 @@qazzaqstan
He'd also probably retire from both politics and social media, or at the very least stop making it so difficult for his lawyers to defend him. But the delusion is cute too.
He also said the republicans are stupid and will vote against their best interest, but in pretty degrading way.
Now I'm wondering what graphic could possibly make sense of that joke? We need an immediate Surprise Inspection!
“I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut; I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I'll just give you the money, and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I just can't imagine a scenario where I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut.”
- Mitch Hedberg, Strategic Grill Locations : Mitch Hedberg
I love the amount of "meta-comedy" in seth's stuff. layers.
I love how Seth adlibs the back jokes and in the end makes them funny. He's a pro
The French couple finding a diamond in Arkansas was the best freaking joke because I thought about just how absurd it seems! My stomach jaw and chest hurt from laughing so hard. BUT considering the size of the diamond they found they knew what they were doing apparently
'Seniors for seniors' is a great joke.
Also, with love, I enjoyed how hard the Mona Lisa joke ate it. Can 'Surprise Inspection' have a sister segment, the 'After Reaction Report'?
Only 98%? Oh, someone's gonna be called to a meeting on the top floor of a building with big windows fer that one.
Has to look like a reasonable amount! 100% would not be believable 😉
More surprising is there was an entire blue region. I don't know what would happen with that, but if I lived there I'd be looking to move as soon as possible.
Mona Lisa could have had a horse, and it produces greenhouse gases.
And when you think his mother was a french teacher 😂
Seth rubbing his eyes. Like this month still going. January lasts for three decades.
Especially with only 90 minutes of sunshine! I've damn near lost my mind...or lost it near a damn 'round here. I can't keep track, anymore!
*dam
Sacramento Strangler joke was definitely Scollins.
The Mona Lisa joke was great.
Seth is the best show ever. Daily "news" makes my day and keeps me from screaming into the void.
If only Seth spent some time learning French during his family trips
Hey, now. I'm from Arkansas, born & bred, and that joke about the lucky French tourist @ Murfreesboro's Crater of Diamonds was...well, very spot-on.
Oh this corrections is going to be priceless 2:58
Despite dropping out of the race, Tim Scott still went ahead with a marriage proposal to his “girlfriend”, to prove that he’s not as picky with women as Lindsey Graham (if you know what I mean, not that there’s anything wrong with that).
He did?? Who reported that?? I love how that got ZERO mention on TV, when it's easily the biggest news of the day! Who's the poor, unlucky, gleaming, beautiful bride-to-be? Do tell!
@@johnobrien2373 If you Google 'Tim Scott marriage' you find multiple sources telling it. This is Vanity Fair:
"And now, they're getting married! Per the Post: Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), a former presidential candidate and possible Republican vice presidential nominee, proposed to his girlfriend, Mindy Noce, Saturday evening at the beach in Kiawah Island in South Carolina. She said yes."
Dates of the sources start on January 21.
@@johnobrien2373I say it was all to be VP. Trump mentioned it in his speech in New Hampshire. It all looked professional shot. He just happened to have a photographer on the beach with them?! Yeah right
I read that as "Tom Scott" at first and was very surprised that he had a girlfriend.
@@johnobrien2373Lindsay Graham's meemaw? 😂
Seth has the best reactions to mistakes on his monologues and it makes me so happy. I can’t wait for the meeting recap in Corrections!!
Awesome French speaking skills
tim scott has the look of a boxer who didn’t know when it was time to retire. he knows he’s a senator, but he doesn’t know what he’s doing right now.
CORRECTION: I thought it went WELL
I had a major survey company ask where I got my news in a survey about politics and other current events. One of the choices was late night comedy shows! Had to check that box. Laughter IS the proper slant right now.
Hah! Looks like Georges wallet on Seinfeld....just ONE more recie💥
My very thought! 😂
As an Arkansan… i gotta say… Seth’s impression was pretty “eeeerrrrgommmmahhhuhhhhn”
As an Arkansan i can confirm that we sound like “general grunting noises” 4:00-4:10
Seth, to make you feel better, your Arkansas accent was spot on.
I don't know what was in the air but you guys killed it with this one. I haven't laughed this hard while watching Late Night in two years.
His corrections style is creeping into late night, that's what's happening.😊
Awww the RING/Soup debacle totally killed Seth’s will to give an impression of a disgruntled person from Arkansas. Spot on French, oui oui.
Keep the new material for Corrections coming!
Is that Amber laughing @ 3:19? 😂
Oooh … I can’t wait for this week’s Corrections!
Why is Seth's Biden so perfect? 🤣 I mean... it is almost too perfect and makes it kinda eerie 😜
The pumpkin soup joke reaction? The French Arkansan accent? It's the best day of my life right now
The thing about the receipts remnded me of the scene in The Naked Gun where the butler takes Drebin’s coat:
“Your coat, sir?”
“Yes it is and I have the receipt to prove it.”
Mistakes! 😆 🤣 😂 Way to roll with it Seth! 👏 👏 👏
French, Australian! Dude! Arkansas! Your killin' me! 😂❤
I love when jokes fall flat hahaha
This is the only show that can make the errors they do because Seth is the best at rolling with it. And that’s why I watch.
SETH!!!!!!!!!!! Your Biden impression is getting SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!! You're the best meyers
I resemble that receipt in the wallet remark. LOL
Love the response to glitches! Hysterical :)
One more time, thanks for the captioning.
Dumbf: Don't ask what your president can do for you - ask how much you can donate for your presidents crime funds.
REALLY good one! 😆
👏👏🏆👏👏
4:31 the ghost 👻 of the theater moved your pencil… ✏️ it was sitting still then just started rolling by itself!
Your French accent is improving 😂
The monologue was a lot?! Usually I skip the monologue till the end of the week, when I can get them all bunched together as News of the Week... the fact that this one was almost 5 minutes made me jump at the chance to catch it early!
#GiveUsSambergOrGiveUsDeath
3 minutes of making fun of a mistake doesn't necessarily make a 5 minute monologue though
@@Ducky69247 If that is your conclusion...you must not watch Seth Meyers very often 🤨
Honestly, just the monolog and a closer look, but I've been watching them for years, I think you just disagree with me.
Lol, I'm a fan of the vague Arkansas muttering
After Alaska Airlines stops being a good punchline, we can always just go back to Spirit Airlines.
While you could not hear my failure to laugh at the Arkansas joke, I feel compelled to share with you my personal consternation: I still am wondering about what brought French people from France to Arkansas. I imagine I will be wondering about that for a long, long time.
They probably heard all about the famous Arkansas diamonds.
Seth’s Biden impression is actually spot on if he were doing Dana Carvey doing Biden! LOL!!!
Or Jimmy Stewart!
Haha that was a classic.
This has been one of the best episodes. I hope no one got in trouble during the meeting after.
Arkansas impression... spot on!
That Arkansas accent was his best. It's like he's a native.
I loved the Mona Lisa joke!
Looking forward to Seth’s defense of that monologue. Those defense episodes are the best.
Submit this one, too, for consideration. I choked on rice when I saw Biden in a football uniform. This was hilarious start to finish.❤❤❤
This monologue felt a lot like A Closer Look, and it’s so much better for that.
After such a bumpy monologue Seth could close with:"..we're off and stumbling.."
I enjoyed this thanks
That human flub BETTER be in corrections!🤣
Seth is the best on late night!
This monologue was like that infamous Alaska airlines flight. A lot went wrong but somehow we all survived.
I loved the soup joke! Graphic or no graphic, it rocked
