  • Quilt As You Go (QAYG) is SO MUCH FUN. And serves as an excellent palate cleanser when you need a mental break. It is all about creativity and using up scraps - two of my very favorite things!!

You could make your Halloween panel into a tote! Then let your kiddo use it when collecting candy or give it away to a lucky trick or treater!

That is sew pretty, you can always make it into a potholder, but if you save them all they could become a baby quilt or pillow for your couch!

Crazy quilts usually start with a five-sided piece of fabric, with odd-shaped and odd-sized pieces added in this same manner. The seams are embroidered over or lace or ribbons sewn on. Velvets and silks were popular. Very elaborate and fancy.

Use your panel to make a small door hanger. You could cut out a bat or witch hat in black to put in the center then make a sleeve for the back to put a small dowel rod through then tie a piece of jute to each end to hang it with.

I have a couple of ideas for your Halloween QAL scrap piece.
    1. Make a front door hanger(sq. or rect.). Add a dowel rod and ribbon as hanger. AppliquĂ©/heat and bond your family initial on front in a bold color like bright purple and big stitch to make it pop in black. Or glow in the dark. đŸ˜±
    2. Cut in the shape of your family initial and appliqué it to a solid piece of fabric to use as front door hanger (like the first suggestion). Use some of the cute black/white scraps as hanger.
    3. Table topper for your Halloween candy.
I’ll stop there. lol. My mind just keeps going if I don’t make myself stop. đŸ€·â€â™€ïžđŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž
