    What stage would you be if lung cancer in upper left lobe and spread to
    The right lung.? Is it always stage 4 at that point?

    • @ThoracicRadiology
      @ThoracicRadiology  Před rokem +3

      yeah, usually that means that it is stage 4. The only caveat is that you have to be sure that you are looking at a metastasis from the tumor in the left lung and not a whole separate lung cancer. The best way to tell the difference is by pathology/genetics, not by radiology. Thx.

    What are the chances of recurrence if I was treated with radiation and cleared of a two cm spiculated nodule, and two and a half years later have two enlarged lymph nodes in the same lung which are growing at a rate of two mms in three months showing activity on the PET scan. Cannot have biopsy due to fear of general anesthesia (not me, the oncologist) due to the overall condition of my lungs? Thanking you in advance for your opinion.

      In a patient with your history of cancer, I am suspicious of any nodules that grow or show activity on PET.
