    I retired after 23 years working 40-70 hours per week as an emergency dispatcher, supervisor, and trainer. Talk about lowering my stress level. 😂 I'm now trying to figure out who I am and what I want for the next 20-40 years of my life. I'm 54. It's harder than you think as I'm still dealing with all the trauma and mental baggage of the job.
    For the most part, I've quit thinking about what others think I should be doing, and I'm just taking the time I need to recover.
    Social media is an issue and you make a great point. You just het sucked in. I think to start 🤔 I will try limiting it to twice a week. I'm certain I can catch up with world, national, and local events easily. It has been causing me stress however I didn't realized it until you mentioned it.

      I hope over time you can find out what you'd like to do next ❤ As you say, it sounds like you're still processing what you had to deal with in your job. I've felt so much better reducing my social media time and never missed out on something I absolutely need to know. If I miss it on social media, someone is bound to mention it to me!

    My mother is a very negative person and always makes me feel bad about myself. Luckily, she lives in another country so I have set a boundary that she can only visit one week a year. She always is hinting that she wants to come more frequently but I always say no. That week she is here if she starts nagging me , I just walk out of the room. She is a much better Grandmother to my girls so they just go visit her.

    I enjoy the occasional glass of wine. I've never had an issue of overdrinking. One glass can last a whole night. That's why these going dry campaigns are not applicable to me as I so rarely drink.
