Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) is the central business district of Los Angeles, California, as well as a diverse residential neighborhood of some 58,000 people. A 2013 study found that the district is home to over 500,000 jobs. It is also part of Central Los Angeles.
Downtown Los Angeles is divided into neighborhoods and districts, some overlapping. Most districts are named for the activities concentrated there now or historically, e.g. the Arts, Civic Center, Fashion, Banking, Theater, Toy, and Jewelry districts. It is the hub for the city's urban rail transit system plus the Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink commuter rail system for Southern California.
Banks, department stores, and movie palaces at one time drew residents and visitors of all socioeconomic classes downtown, but the area declined economically especially after the 1950s. It remained an important center - in the Civic Center, of government business; on Bunker Hill, of banking, and along Broadway, of retail and entertainment for Hispanic Angelenos, especially immigrants. Now Downtown has been experiencing a renaissance that started in the early 2000s. The Staples Center anchors downtown's south end, and along Broadway, pre-war buildings are being restored for new uses, such as a luxury condos, co-working spaces, and a new high-end retail.

Thanks !!! finally someone is show the good side of the city , I’m sick and tired of all of the haters commenting negativity in my beautiful Estate California 🥰
The beauty of it is everywhere, if you refer to the homeless crisis as ugly then help.
I used to work in DTLA for many years and seeing this video brings back lots of good memories. I grew up there but left CA over a decade ago, right during the housing market crisis (07-08). Just couldn't afford to live there anymore and I hated the traffic, day in day out 5 days a week 3 hours (round trip) a day slaving away like everyone. Got tired of it so I fled... Would love to move back one day but I'd prefer to live in the OC (Irvine, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Newport beach and so forth...). Guess I have to wait until I hit the jackpot, lol...
I can't wait to move there in the fall. I have learned to tune out haters and move forward with my dream.
@@knowingnia3608 I'm moving there too in the summer with my family. I don't get the hatred, I loved it when I briefly lived there. Follow your dream, good luck
@A E conservatives did do such a great job in Texas right? Letting people freeze to death in the dark before sending them 20k energy bills.
Great walk tour around LA, California. Beautiful street ambiance. Thanks for the virtual tour with you. I enjoyed watching from start to finish. Have a nice day THE TABLE.
Surprisingly quiet.
this is very helpful for my trip to LA I've never been
I like that you turn around and show the view from different angles. Much better than straight shots of the sidewalk ahead.
Beautiful, relaxing and great walking tour, nice weather, we enjoy it! 😊👍
i love California❤️❤️❤️, i'm praying🙏 so hard to go back there⭐️⭐️⭐️
It is beautiful! I' d like visit Los Angeles and take a walk for those streets
Great video! Which camera are you using?
Nicely done
Thank you for this nice video. Pure relaxing. It's a great city I guess. 👍
Wonderful, thanks! I live near the Whole Foods Market shown in the first few minutes. That new mural on the 8th Street side was savaged with graffiti in the riots a week and a half ago. I hope the building invites (pays) the original artist to restore it, because their solution to the previous five years' worth of graffiti on the old mural was to block out each word with a rectangle of paint.
Small criticism: You missed a GLORIOUS picture postcard shot of the iconic skyscrapers in the business district at 1:26:20. A tiny bit of Library Tower is visible in the upper right corner of the screen. If you had panned up further, that would have been the money shot. I always stop and admire that scene when I'm near Pershing Square. Inspiration.
Great experience friend. thanks for making it : )
Wish my father took me with him when he left for Cali . Great visuals . Respect ✅
Thank you for this video of one of my most favorite cities! CAB:)
Very agreeable city. I appreciated mostly the Broadway part of the video because that street I know very well.

There are normally many people on the streets but this video was taken during the peak of pandemic. It was a huge lockdown.
LA Is always so great! thank
For made!
The one thing that amazes me about downtown Los Angeles that you see that you won’t see in other large cities in the United States is a lot of trees.
In Seattle there’s tons and tons of trees
Annaliese Del Rosario you know something...... you’re right.
I Wish people were as nice as the scenery here.
Muito bom, da pra ter uma ideia da cidade, lembra algumas partes de São Paulo

Ur sound always cut out!
I miss Louie on 7th and Los Angeles. A luxurious restaurant that has literally been there for 6 decades but was killed by the Corona lockdowns. 😢
Well the luxurious restaurants were probably part of the phenomenon which forced lower middle class people out weren't they?
😍😍👌👍
Please describe where you are walking.😰
This person should have walked a little faster and had a plan for where they were going. This video was longer than it needed to be, and all over the place.
