Ira Aguila I want to live here too, but one day I expect to visit there. *But the funny fact is:* Seeing these videos, I ended up knowing a lot of places, even though I never been in L.A😁
Dangerous in la?
NickTheGeek matters which part of la you live in
It's not dangerous in LA but there is some criminals. Just like a regular country
Ira Aguila 🤣🤣 that’s so funny :D we really want to go!!
I feel like LA travel guides do not emphasis how far each of these locations are. This video makes it seem like a drive from Malibu to Downtown LA or Hollywood only takes 15 mins. I hope travelers to LA realize just how bad the traffic they are going to experience will be if they do not know what they are doing and the distances they will drive.
Just a heads up for those coming here: never leave during rush hour, avoid the 405, 5, and the 101 if you can, always give yourself plenty of time to get somewhere, and do not rely on LA public transportation. For those renting a car, half of us do not signal when changing lanes.
Man the 405.......just couldn't avoid it on my last trip.
No he doesn’t. He makes it clear...even stressing to avoid the 405.
I am not planning on renting a car, and so I will be relying on public transport. Are there any tips for doing it efficiently?
@@LAMO0212 I'm not an expert but my friends who live there get Ubers. Tour buses maybe. Its a ginormous area and just not ideal for buses/trains. There is a local train system which you easily find a map for
Not just those freeways, the 170 and 134 even the 210 during rush hour

Such a well-done video. I was born and raised in LA, and I think you got almost everything right. The only part that was wrong was about the weather in the Spring. I see more disappointment from tourists during these months than at any other time. While the weather is fantastic for most of the year, May and June are notorious for cloudy/foggy weather. The locals call it "June Gloom" and "May Gray" but the tourists are usually surprised.
Thank you Michael, appreciate your detailed weather information 😀 we’ll skip May and June but we’ll be there again in September 😀
I was there all last week. It was freezing and everyone in beanies and jackets!
What months would you recommend? Lmao I'm not even going there but it's just out of curiosity.
Good to know. I'm flying in from Germany on June 19th and I prepared mostly summer clothes!! Because over here it's hot now
Yep. You can always tell a local in June at the beach. They bring a sweater. Tourists are in shorts and tank tops - freeeeezing!

I'm from Costa Rica and I love when I find videos of people talking wonders about this country. It really fill us with joy knowing somebody enjoys it so much visiting this places.
Thank you very much for this amazing video.
Went to Los Angeles for 3 days but I soon realized that it is wayyyyy bigger than I expected, especially without a car, and 3 days weren't enough for even a third of the things I had planned. Travelling by bus from Santa Monica pier to Downtown or Hollywood takes ages. Literally no time for me to visit Malibu or Long Beach or Orange County (Disneyland). You need a solid full week if you wanna visit all or most important spots of the city. Still though, my favorite city in the world. Will definitely be back after covid to complete my list :)

GREAT VIDEO! Well documented, goes straight to the point, not boring at all!
Thanks for sharing with me all these info because I'll be there next week. After watching this video I should be grateful living in Toronto that the traffic is not crazy as in LA area, and our public transportation helped me a lots to commute every where I go.
Long Beach and southern beaches like Huntington & Seal Beach 🏖 are nice and have lots of great food places and night life. Plus the Long Beach airport is less busy than LAX and super convenient.
LA has 3 types of traffic speeds:
-slow
-even slower
-not moving at all
I am visiting soon and this list was very helpful thank you so much!
Well done, i'd like to say thank you for making a video about such a beautiful city
I wanna go to LA this summer, I’ve been there like at least 4 times because I live in California and it’s a cool city
Very useful and so practical! It will help a big amount of visitors and guests in LA.
Thanks Amirlan :)
This video has been so helpful to me & my husband for planning our next trip to Los Angeles. Thanks for sharing!!!
This has been so helpful, thank you!
The video only mentions LAX when it comes to flying into LA, but there's also Long Beach (LGB) and Burbank (BUR) in LA County, as well as Ontario (ONT) and John Wayne (SNA) nearby, which may be more convenient depending on where you're going in the LA area. LGB is mostly JetBlue and BUR is mostly Southwest, so you could get some cheaper fares with them if you're on the west coast or willing to have a layover.
Long beach is great
I am an LA Local and this is a good list and good video to follow. I like your use of maps to show people where things are located (although I think many dont understand how many miles/km the distances are).
Thanks, appreciate it 😀

The Smog is getting better 👏🏻
It has improved significantly the last 30 years or so, thanks to all the pollution control laws that were passed in the 70's and 80's. But the progress seems to be have stalled, probably due to the popularity of heavier SUV's, which negates the improved efficiency of cars overall.

Really very useful information thank you so much 👌👌👌
As a person who lives in Los Angles, California, I will tell you my experience. Including, The weather, the schools, prices of things, etc. So starting off with the schools, not the best. Or maybe it is just my school. My school doesn’t care about bullying, the principal is trash, and everybody in my class is trash. Now for the weather. The weather is pretty good but in the summer it gets very VERY hot. It’s very rare to have rain here. I’m honestly surprised that we got hail in March. Now for prices of things. Very very VERY expensive. Just getting your daily groceries is 150 bucks. And the HOUSES. A 1 bedroom 1 bathroom house can cost literally 800 dollars a month, A MONTH. I live in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with my Mom, Grandma, and grandpa and it’s 2800 dollars a MONTH. And no it’s not a good looking apartment it is horrible! I mean I know people will call me “Ungrateful” but I’m not. I appreciate everything I have and I am grateful to have a roof over my head. But what I’m trying to say is that if the apartment is going to be bad, the people who own the place need to tune down the rent! But I still do think that Los angles, California still has a chance. Yes, the prices might be horrible, the schools might be bad the weather might be too hot, but It is still a good place that has potential. Also this is just my opinion so if you don’t agree with me, it’s fine. :)
That sounds tricky indeed. Well, I have never been to the US at all, so can only imagine from videos and stories. It seems, that nevertheless you have got a choice to live somewhere else, not in the city itself, or you can try to use the hype of L.A. to earn more after you finish the school. I am pretty confident this is individual, but you should find your wave. I mean sure, a large and famous US city near the ocean will attract a lot of public, this will drive the prices and taxes upwards and convenience of everyday life downwards. For some people that will also mean huge business or career possibilities, for others who just want to live in peace it might become an unwanted place.
Took a whirlwind evening tour of LA before catching a cruise the next day. Saw LAPD in the middle of busting a gang on the sidewalk and we drove right past it which is probably a normal sight in the city. The homeless people on Hollywood Blvd were kind of nasty and aggressive and it felt a bit unsafe there at night. The Chinese Theatre was a pretty cool sight though. Universal Studios was also fun to walk around. So much history and seeing where Hollywood Icons from the past lived was memorable. I wouldn't recommend driving there if you're not comfortable with fast paced busy freeways.
Amazing information!Keep up the good work!
Thanks :)
Wow, i love this video. You make me want to go to LA now. It's really adorable video.
I've been living in LA all of my life I just love LA all over again now lol. Warmest months start in May! Not july. May - August are the hottest months
Great video! Just note: if you want to go to the Getty Villa, it is free but you still need to pre-book a free ticket to secure a time slot. Also, Disneyland isn't in LA but Orange County in Anaheim. But great tips!
Some places have shuttle service so you can kick back and ignore the traffic on the way to your destination. Most notably, the Hollywood Bowl. I took it last year and it was hassle-free!

As someone who is from LA, do not use the carpool lanes on the 110 freeway or on the 10, these are the toll roads. The 405 has some of the worst traffic in LA but is still often the best route due to the location. Also drivers here are insane, just fyi.
