that's the feeling I get from Dead Cowboy, towards the end the riffs are so triumphant but at the same time the drumming is so intense it feels like I'm flying through a magic kingdom or something like that
for me Danzig-era Misfits and Dan Deacon's "Bromst" scratches near the Lightning Bolt itch, as well as Melt-Banana, which makes sense as LB have toured with both of them!
fuck yeah man, this is awesome!! love this solo so much, Chippendale’s drumming is also beastly; i wanna cover his part on this song but his technique is just insane. anyways, nice fucking job, Gibson is incredible bassist and you nailed it.
the pairing of sounds between a traditionally tuned bass and his bizarro banjo bass hybrid is quite nice! I tend to cheat with a whammy effect, but it gets sloppy trying to go low to high n back fast... nice work! cheers!
You picked a really good solo for a favorite! I listen mostly to Surf Guitar, Blues Guitar, Old Country Picking, and Gypsy Jazz, etc.. but there is definitely something about Lightning Bolt!! Million people can sound like their teacher taught them, excellent to see you may be on the right track. You have a normal number of fingers and it doesn’t appear that you invented your own instrument, but.. the fact that you listen to Brian Gibson makes me confident that you have potential. Keep with it!!
Underrated how this mad lad plays this without a octave pedal
Insane fretboard dexterity
@@ronbernhaut7560 I also just noticed that you used harmonics for those EXTRA high notes
You are truly a legend
@Ledger Damon fuck flixzone
@@ronbernhaut7560 riff wraiths
Also your constantly jittering leg really shows that you listen to lightning bolt
Lightning Bolt is really the only case of music so happy and joyous sounding while sounding mind-blowingly intense.

Brian Gibson is why I started playing bass (strated to learn guitar so Ican move to bass) and you showcase just why perfectly
isnt every lighting bolt song a base solo
Accompanied by a crazy drum solo..
It's one of my favorite brain gibson solos thanks dude
An upright bass player who listens to Lightning Bolt!? You're my new favorite person. *subscribe*
Brian is also a classically trained cello player so it's not that far off.
KasseyDee Well, that would explain the cello tuning. I never knew Brian Gibson was actually a cello player though.
@@utility507A He is a guy of many talents. He is also involved in video game development on the art and music front.
@@valens5287 Can you tell a little bit more about it or give a link, where i can read about it?
