You literally described how I feel now with my workouts and daily life. I wake up feeling okay though, take my pre and go to the gym and feel amazing, then I come home and have to start work and I feel bad again, might be because of my job but think I might be going so hard in the gym because its my only activity in the day that I might be overtraining and exhausting myself all week. Gunna back down on the intensity. Thank you David, didn't know others felt like me.

I lost over 70lbs in last year. If you want to lose fat you need to train hard and eat clean. This is my story, the things started to change after I got diet from website Next level diet. It was plain simple and pretty easy to follow... Training was something like home workout (three times per week). I lost 12lbs of fat in my first month already... This may be the best stuff on net right now... You also have some other diet helpers, but believe me personal trainers are too much expensive.

I think what you've described is not just an aftermath of your intense exercises, but probably in a significant way caused by the often use of pre-workouts + the extra caffeine from coffees and energy drinks. I've used to feel exactly the same way. Hype, focus, adrenaline, amazingly good mood and even day dreaming after my daily dose. Then crash -> lack of strength, bad mood, apathy, depression. It was like drug addiction. I was getting hyped only by the thought of going to gym, just because I was going to drink my pre-workout. That was before Covid though. After the gyms re-opened I started my training again, but this time without any pre-workouts, just one coffee during the day and now my days are so much more balanced.

The problem with training that intensely for prolonged periods of time is that it affects overall cell respiration, you are disproportionately using your ATP to train and recover. This can cause a paradoxical effect like you mentioned in the beginning; you train everyday , possibly longer and harder in an effort to combat the constant fatigue. Whilst It's important to train hard and be consistent, it definitely is more important to listen to your body.

I couldn't fathom no carbs for a training session. It's kind of idiotic in my opinion to be quite honest. Might be a reason why he feels so groggy during the day and after workouts. I wonder if you're not low-key depressed/stuck and working out is the only thing that's giving you a sense of meaning in your life. How long have you, consciously or subconsciously, associated working out, and the results that come from it, with happiness/fulfilment? How much of your life is centred around working out, diet to help gains, thinking about things related to the gym etc. You seem like a pretty dynamic guy who needs constant challenges - Ultimately the best way to make ourselves feel better is to go deep within and develop inner peace, particularly in times when we feel lethargic, unmotivated and not quite right. Letting go, surrendering, untying knots you didn't know existed and developing inner calm and detachment. These simple qualities help us to feel better when something intangible is weighing us down.

Are you only lowering your intensity due to being satisfied with where you are physically? I think it would be prudent to suggest you would train relatively harder again if there was a goal you had? I've always been under the mindset that intensity brings quicker progression, and while it is harder to stay consistent with that intensity, seeing the change and progression is the motivator behind that.

Hi David. I do believe you're a special human being, your vlogs are really cinematic and meaningful and prove that you're much more than a beautiful and handsome man who lifts weights and has big muscles: you're also a clever and deep person. With this video you've made another step forward: I was very surprised to hear, here on your channel, Una Mattina and Primavera by Il Maestro Ludovico Einaudi. Your vlogs and Ludovico's music match perfectly: you both have this strong sense of cinematography, and, as I always say, his music is dedicated to people whose soul dares depth, like yours. I really encourage you to use more songs from Ludovico's discography... If I just think about one of your vlogs combined with Fly or Experience... his music would make your videos reach their highest potential. Think about it! Greetings from Italy🇮🇹

Dude it’s the caffeine, your caffeine tolerance is probably huge, that is why when u either drink your coffee or take ur pre workout and than you workout you feel better or normal, also why it lingers after your workout until the buzz wears off

That's exactly how I feel right now. I've got a lot of problems and I know that gym is not the solution but it feels like it. That's why now I'm going to the gym more regularly and that's a good thing but what's bothering me is the same exact thing that I'm feeling like trash the whole day and feeling so good during that 2 hours of torchering my body. I'm so confused right now. It feels like I want to tell something to someone but then even I don't know what's going on with myself so what am I suppose to say to somebody

Been watching you for years David. Funny once you start the commentary I just caught a lil cold yesterday same symptoms as you and I just started training just enough instead of balls outs I just came to realization with that as well. Consistency is key when there’s no end of the road

Feeling suboptimal and lethargic all the time and then pumped for your workout is a great description of what it feels like on certain types of anabolics... just saying.
