Just want to say you've been a big inspiration to me David. Watching your videos and transformation footage I was able to start hitting the gym with some motivation and you even helped me change my whole life around. I went from being the 230Ib fat kid that everyone disregarded to a 165Ib guy who is comfortable in his own body and proved to everybody that nothing is impossible if you just have the will to push yourself. Hope you get to read this
Subscribed about two weeks ago because you keep it real. This workout wasn't going your way on the deads but you still hit a ton of volume. SoundCloud is always on point. Ive always watched Chris Jones or Ogus vids to get be motivated but lately its been your vids. Keep the consistency.
Do more of the day in the lifes with workouts and meals like this one, and stay consistent with uploading often like u have recently. Keep up the good work, trying that weird ass nutella breakfast out today aswell^^
i remember watching this as a lanky 6'0 12 year old who hated his body. now 8yrs later im on pace to hitting 220lbs by the end of the year (at 6'4). Without David's content i probably would've kept believing i was too skinny to ever put on weight, i don't know if i ever would have even picked up a weight...but one afternoon in 2015 i came across this video in my recommended then went and watched the og transformation, it had me doing curls with my moms 20lb rubber weights and pull ups using the base of our tree fort in the backyard. That was the beginning and the beginning of the end of all the bullshit and insecurity i went through years prior and would go on to endure during my first couple years of hs. I hope I get to meet and thank you in person one day David👊
Great work Dave your'e an inspiration! Jw about some say tips and tricks, like i heard u mention a spoon of olive oil before bed, and when u find is the best time to take supps etc.
What do you do in your free time, besides working out? Great video too, keep up the good work. I hope to reach the level you're at some day, I just started lifting about a two weeks ago. Long road ahead...
Whaddup David, I feel as though I have the same problem as you do with keeping on track with eating and lifting, especially eating! The summer just makes it so much easier because of all the time and no school. Anyways, I want to know if you do homework before or after you lift? My biggest problem is a massive workload of homework after school, so I was wondering what you do.
Make a video about the specifics of your training+nutrition throughout your first two years of lifting, it would give us some nice insight as to how we could bring our lifts up and mistakes to avoid.
+Joseph Maurer Do the 3 main lifts using Candito's linear Program or Jason blaha's to start off don't fuck around in the gym. Eat at a caloric maintenance or surplus I'd say 3000 calories is a safe place to start and just add or subtract on that to fit your needs. Also Sleep AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!!!!
+Tyler Jabroni Arnold was on high amount of steroids since his teen years. His recovery is not on par with a natural lifter. But i agree if you only have 6 hours to sleep your gonna have to find a set of volume and intensity that u can recover from with your schedule even though i dont reccomend it. I say 8 hours minimum is optimal.
Im in the same situation you were. I was super skinny when I was 13 and then turned 14 and I have been lifting everyday noticing small differences every month or couple weeks and now almost 15 in February. How can I make gains faster? Like solid gains in shorter amounts of time. Tbh all I want it to look like you, your my inspiration to get big and look good. Thanks
You look great David . . . at least when you produced this video. As you no doubt realize, eating to be healthy is not the same as eating for purposes of athletic competition . . . which is much more demanding on the body, which is why it is often recommended that your diet and exercise regimen be subject to supervision by an exercise physiologist, nutritionist, or some other professional, to provide guidance, so that you don't OD doing something wrong. I would strongly suggest to increase your amount of green, leafy vegetables to offset the elevated amounts of protein you are consuming, The reason is that most proteins are acidic, which you are consuming typically a lot in body building. In order to offset that, you need alkaline foods, at least in an effort to neutralize the otherwise adverse impacts of excessive acid consumption within your diet. A big plus with green, leafy vegetable is that it also helps cleanse your lymphatic system, which helps cleansing your circulatory system. Please let me know if you should have any question that I may be able to help you with, although from all appearances, at least you look healthy.
You should make a workout video where you show us all the different workouts that you could do with dumbbells for the upper body like triceps, biceps, back, chest, traps, lats, etc
Hey David I've been consistently running jb's icf for about a month now and today I decided to try your version. I did your B day workout starting with deadlifts (heavy single/4x5) using the same weight as I did with the 1x5 from Jason's original. Following that I put the same weight on for my squat heavy single as I did for jb's B day 5x5 squat first. When doing the heavy single the weight felt very heavy and I got a extreme burning sensation in my way lower left abdominal (pubic area😬). My question is, is it safe to deadlift before squats and if so should I us less weight on your B day squat workout?
gratful with your video, you are doing good effort by just taking little time to record it and edit it. cheers from buenos aires argentina, always following your stuff
Holly shit dave is actually not putting effort in activities at school so that he preserves energy for the workout later thats crazy. I thought i was the only one to do that

David, what protein powder have you found best for putting mass on. Not just any but one that you dont get bloated of as much, good recovery and texture..?
Hey David, I'm currently 16 years old and from Germany( sorry for my bad english). I weigh 66 kilos and I'm really disconted with my self. I would love you to do that kind of video. :) Hope you will read this comment and keep up the good work! Phillip from Germany ;)
