Michael & Lisa Marie had been real good friends from the years her Father had a show in Vegas and so did The Jackson 5 in the 70's. Michael and lisa were about the same age, they often played together when not on stage. When the accusations against Michael, everybody backed away from him. Lisa has said that she went to him so he wasn't alone. They remained close until his death. Michael was a musical prodigy and spent his life trying to make his world, our world, a nicer place.
You should follow his career from his father's faults to solo, to better. He was a best friend to a young boy dying of AIDS in the 80's, or USA for AFRICA.
His music stands the test of time and will always be the King of Pop.

I fell in love with Michael when I was about 10 years old and that love never went away. I watched his pain when all of the allegations and rumors surfaced and it broke my heart. What hurt the most was when his autopsy confirmed he had the skin condition vitiligo, after so many years of him being accused of bleaching his skin because he wanted to be white. Michael was very proud of being a black man and I can’t imagine how much that hurt him. I hope he finally has peace.
I was 8! And I know exactly what you mean! Felt like I lost a piece of me when he passed. I've never mourned a celebrity before or since.

My dad died when I was 11 and it put me in a real dark place that I didn’t even know that I was in. This song helped me get through a lot, and 5 years later I’m going strong. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about him. Thank you so much for this Jay. 👍

Yes, and not only was Lisa Marie Presley Michael's wife, but she was the love of his life, and they had an almost 10 year relationship! They were still together even after they divorced, for many years. They had so many obstacles in life, but they loved each other until the day that each of them died. I love to think that they are finally free and together in that other dimension that we call Heaven. You never saw them smile so much as when they were in love and together. I love this song and the video of Michael Jackson with the love of his life Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis's only child. MJ treated her as his princess, and he loved her so much! They had at least a 9 year relationship, that went on long after they divorced! Michael was the love of her life too. Hey Javon I don’t know if you realized but there is an interesting footnote to this song.. It was one of the first songs that debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 1 which we thought would remain at number 1 for maybe 10+ weeks. However another song which entered the charts at the same time was Coolio’s smash hit Gangsta’s Paradise which bumped Michael out of number 1 after just one week.

Yes, R.Kelly wrote this which is a shame, but I'm sure if Michael knew about this, he would have discredited R.Kelly or something, but for me it's still Michael's song. I want to request a song, it's more of Michael's more upbeat/disco songs. It's called Workin Day and Night. It's such a great track, incredibly underrated and really gets you up and dancing. Hard to explain the impact he had on me, just loved his music, his nature and his human side...he really did so much for so many around the world.
