Adele, Jesse J, Leona Lewis, Amy Winehouse. The link? They all went to the Brit School in South London. Adele and Jesse J were in class together and would sing together in their lunch breaks.

Fun fact: Adele has stage fright. You can always sort of tell in the beginning of major televised performances because it takes her little while to warm up, but she is always brilliant.

I got the PLEASURE of seeing Adele live in concert in Texas! Best concert I've ever seen! I've never seen someone command the stage and captive a stadium like she did! Just that voice and a simple sway of her hips. No dancers, no fireworks, no costume changes. Brilliant!

I've never heard a bad Adele song. Not kidding.
Best thing about her is she’s so unaffected by the stardom thing..respect to her.
The sheer power of this woman's voice is a phenomenon. Add her considerable songwriting talent to that, and you can tell she's one of those rare talents that only come around a few times in a generation. Check out "Skyfall" next (her James Bond theme).
I love that she gets her influences from many genres.. pop, r&b, even country. Such talent.

I went to her concert a few years ago. The security check queue was hours long, and when we finally got through the check-point and started going round the outside of the arena to find the correct entrance, this song started to sound through the arena wall. I've never run faster in heels than I did right then 😅

@@missgmoma 👍🏽 Look for Faouzia songs, live or stripped. I don’t like the original version of “Tears of Gold”. Too overproduced. The recent musical video/ duet with John Legend though, is magical.
When i first heard Adele, it was her first live performance on T,V ,i was absolutly blown away, i phoned my cousin to check her out, and i told him she was destined to become the biggest female artist of alltime, so beautiful.

You are basically me in 2011. Was blown away by her the second I heard her. Didn't jump on the bandwagon till the second album. I remember seeing Rolling in the deep live on some talk show. Was instantly a fan
I remember hearing Adele - Hometown Glory for the first time on the radio at work 2009ish and just thinking to myself: Why isn't all Pop Music this good? I fully expected her to be the massive star that she is now, her songwriting is just as epic as her voice IMO. can't keep that kind of talent hidden for long :)
This lady will stand the test of time. She will be still singing just this great in her senior years. This is real talent.

She definitely writes and sings songs from her experience, and let’s face it if you are a feeling person, Love and heartbreak are universal, break ups are never easy whether you are the person ending a relationship or definitely when it hasn’t been your decision. She gives me goosebumps when she sings, I have no doubt that we have had past lives or old souls as she like Amy Winehouse and many other’s are just born as fully fledged singers, with incredible range and depth to their voices. Music has always saved me from myself when you feel like someone else understands how you feel, as a lonely weird Teenager (found out I’m Autistic at 56yrs old) in a family where they don’t express their feelings, and I just had loads of them, as a performer in a family of no other Artists it was lonely, but when you become an adult and you find your tribe it’s an incredible feeling. Here’s to all the weird people who didn’t fit at school and who found their people as adults, be who you are, because you are enough and we are all perfectly imperfect. Peace

You NEED to listen to adele - when we were young live at the church studio it is a phenomenal live performance and an amazing song! Also her tiny desk concert is brilliant.
Went to her Sydney concert a couple of years back. So did approx105,000 other people on the same night. She was fantastic she sounds as good live as on recording and she is funny too.
She is so amazing. You have to hear "All I ask" and "When we were young" She can do no wrong. :) Thank you.

JUST PURE VOICE with feeling is Adele! My son got me her CD 25 for my birthday one year. It was THE grown-up version to her 21 CD ! Many songs I can relate to in my 50's. She is and will always be far beyond her years! I turned to my kids after watching" Chasing Pavements" video and told my who could care less teens.."She will be big, more than huge". They were like..."Whatever Mom". I knew....
There is a documentary called “20 Feet From Stardom” - all about backup singers. It’s so awesome. They are such a critical piece of music and history.
