So proud that the first one is called Kyalami! When I was a teenager in the early 90's, my next door neighbour was a man called John Wheeler who was a marshal there. Him and his wife used to take me along on Saturdays, and I often had chequered flag duty along with one of the best views on the track. Sarel van der Merwe was the big name in SA racing at the time. eh, you know it’s not as bleak as the internet makes it out to be honestly. Especially with track cars like this, you do see them being used or being taken out. Most P1 GTRs and F1 GTRs are converted to be road legal because the owners want to drive them on the street. You see the FXXK, and FXXK Evo being trashed around multiple circuits.
Besides put it this way, if you had a 3 million dollar track car would you take it balls to the walls knowing that it’s gonna cost a lot to replace the tires and brakes? There are people who don’t take their GT3 RS to the track for this reason alone. And that costs waay less money and effort to maintain than this thing. In the end, it’s up to the drivers really.

besides Gordon himself said he will never build a car more than 100 units. He doesn’t want to become a normal car company chasing profit per units on every car. He’d rather design the ultimate drivers car knowing that he’s put his best effort into it, rather than building an accessible production car that’s full of compromises. He’s a perfectionist at heart.

To a point and only to a point. Money is a relative thing. I've found as I've got older, it's a bit more than that.
It's the simpler things in life that really matter. Not the things we have to constantly chase for. Once they are gone, you realise their true value. 😒

Sad but very true. The ONLY people that can afford and will even consider buying one are the exact people that will put it in bubble wrap so their “investment” can appreciate. It’s even marketed squarely at that demographic. Exotic. Rare. Limited. Hand Crafted. Individual Bespoke Nomenclature. Etc. The majority of the time these perfect driver focused machines will spend “driving” will be onto and off of the transporter to and from car shows. But driven in anger in its natural habitat, aka the track? Besides a Cris Harris special, I wouldn’t put any of the money in my pocket on it.
Meh, at least Gordon Murray get to make a good few bucks out of the deal. I guess. 😕
