2:00 and here we see an important concept of oop: inheritance
Lol
😂😂
I'm getting two friends over tomorrow, an artist and a fellow programmer, and we only have this weekend to make the game. I'm super excited!
Must be nice to have friends, who agree to do something like that :(
@@PetrPss Must be nice to have friends 😬
@@PJBonoVox Lol
@@PJBonoVox ouch..
@@PJBonoVox cheers I’ll drink to that bro
javidx10 did an AMAZING job with the theme reveal!
I was outperformed considerably. Bested by my replacement.
The biggest reveal is that there were 9 Javidxs before him. That's great to hear!
What's more: there are JavidxA through JavidxF somewhere!
Maybe it just goes into negatives although that would probably mean the last javidxs
or maybe 10 in binary, then it'd be 2 :D
@@Glightstar JavidxsTrueFalse anyone? ;)
Did he reveal that the Javids are zero-indexed or is that assumed?
me as a newbie programmer will try his best
Perfect!
@@javidx9 I recently attempted to create a 3d engine with success but it runs at 1 fps. ;)
Better than 0 fps!
@@desertik9796 Well, with FPS is like with girlfriends, There is point in time when man have to admin that one is enough.
@@desertik9796 how?
This is going to motivate me to continue programming so hopefully I have enough experience for the 2022 code jam. Looking forward to the entries!
This is a great opportunity. Thanks OLC
javidx you give me positive energy
Just dropped in to wish you a merry christmas and hope the month goes great, can't wait to see new stuff in the new year! :)
Hey thanks buddy! Merry Christmas to you too!
I think now I know enough to actually make something rather than just getting user input and display it to the console 🤣, this will be my first...I hope
It has been a minute due to time constraints but it's really good to see Junior in this reveal. I'm excited for you and yours. Cheers.
Just joined the jam!
Best of lucks for everyone! Rock it!
Hyped for the results!
I've recently lost some motivation to program but this is my first Jam and I'm really excited to participate and I hope that I will have enough motivation to finish my project :)
Good luck!
Only one thing to say ----- congrats ----- best wishes to all you, that of course include the family + 1 and all the followers.
Best of luck to all the contenders ...
Don't see whats wrong with Robots blasting each other.
I'm using C++ and my OpenGL framework, it'll probably be a failure but it will be fun
Goodluck!
Best… Shirt… Ever… (baby shirt, that is). Hope you and your family are doing great!
Nice to see C++-junior is doing fine! Next Videos I'll join again. Had some Private issues last weeks!🤟😎
Thank god I've made bloom support and a particle system for my game engine.
I think I'm ready for this
Congrats on the baby
Salute...👍
Nice Content
javidx10 is so cute! Congratulations javid!
So it started, Good luck comrades !
What a happy baby! Congrats! Though shouldn't his onesie have said 'Level 0 human'? hmmm
That is an excellent point. Hmmmm.
Arrays and Babies start at 0.
I see there a loading bar. So the baby is bekomming a level 10 human. Hopefully a future CEO and Lead programmer of PGEindustries. I see a "Super Jario" remaster (VR/3d).
@@javidx9 Congratulations also from me. And thanks that you proof some people wrong, that state:
" Programmers are virgins and have no social skills.".
What a handsome baby. Congrats man
Are you going to continue the car crime game project? I really enjoyed the first two videos.
I have the perfect idea however this is my first jam and I don't really know how to code well so this is gonna be a good learning experience
I'm going to try writing it in a lisp dialect called racket. I'm a noob when it comes to lisps and functional programming. I will turn in a finished product no matter what !!
A really good mindset
awww go brrrrrrr
Nice new show guest
😍😍😍😍😍😍
still waiting for a new video
Hello I got motivated using wxwidgets seeing your videos. Thank you for the knowledge you shared with us. I have a question in wxwidget widget whether we could use vector graphics using it? My inclined lines turn out to be choppy and I guess its due to pixel graphics.
The baby has your eyes
Javidx10! Such a cute little puny human 😊
javid friend! i wanted to let you know following your emulator tutorials is going smooth for me again! do you think in the future you will expand your nes emulator tutorials or maybe a gameboy emulator tutorial series? or maybe... an N64 emulator series lollll that be a challenge beyond challenge XDD
Retro causality.
Congrats on the new addition to your family. He'll be coding no time.
Hey, we miss you.
Hey thanks man! I'm coming back early in new year..
@@javidx9 I look forward to it!
Level 2. They level so quickly.
The Future dun dun dun
Very cute baby!
hello, idk if I'll be able because Ive got 2 team projects in parallel, and I really love them all, if we are allowed we can try to fit one of em into the jam, we started before yesterday
Hi ishi, we'll have to wait and see, no harm in trying.
hey javid, how's going on? recently i've been studying scalable text formats and i stumbled multiple times upon ttf files, it's a really hard file format but it's also relly interesting how single glyfs are stored in an easy way to redner. i was hoping in a video about them, maybe a cool pge extension could came out of this
that shirt on the baby lmao
Javidx10 is too cute
Where is new video sir?
Hi @ javidx9 , is it possible to create a console graphics engine using C# similar to what you made using C++. I've been learning from scratch for a few months now in C# and have made a few console games using a 2D array. I want to be able to do all of the buffer stuff featured in your series so I can create higher resolutions and work with pixels rather than chars or strings. Thanks, I really appreciate your content.
Would a programmable animation count for this competition or is it more just executables and games?
That sounds refreshing. Go for it!
hey , screw you!
That s MY idea !!!
The future is dystopian, so that should be easy to fill in. Lol
cute baby!
Does your shirt come with a recipe book or something?
and your baby x10 is a cutie!
portuguese brazil : ao assistir seu canal consigo aprender sem saber falar ingles , ja tentei fazer isto com outros canais mas não consigo como você faz isto ?
Hey can you please teach us how to use your console game engine to make that A* path finder I am literally stuck not able figure it out how to use what to do. I hope you will read and do the same. Thanks.
I made a video where I implemented A* in Console Game Engine.
@@javidx9 yes I saw tha but can't figure out how to use that header file it gives error. I downloaded it from your git acount then extracted it in the same folder where I had your a* code file but its giving error in that console file.
saying some variable is undefined in that console file ..🙁
remember to wear your mask when you sleep
can we only make one file applications from olc pixel game engine. I tried to make a game with multiple files but it shows error. it always complains multiply defined symbols found.
You can easily make multiple file solutions. Many, including myself do! The way to do it is to create a CPP file that includes the header and the define and nothing else. Then just use the PGE as a normal header wherever you want
I will try it :) Is C language ok?
Hi sir, I hope you're having a great life AND I'M ALSO HOPING that you will respond to this. This question might be unusual or dumb. Can I build a operating system using c++?
Sure, check out Serenity OS!
Can I use any framework, or am i restricted to olcpixel stuff
Anything you like!
@@javidx9 unreal engine?
Sure!
I have already make the program and it has zero bugs
print ("the future")
She is way too cute!!!
i think you should make a new video on absolute beginner to olc console game engine because the old video and code have too many problems to work with.. :( ....i wanted to make a project of a * algorithm but i can even use the file it give so many damn errors i saw your old video of absolute beginner to console engine but it doesn't worked for me it says so many undefined variables ans other stuff please i request you to make a new video 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 please : (
A walk trough simulator of beeing a good parent, so your offspring can do better.
my creativity is 0 i need to ask my friends to give me some ideas
Does the language matter?
Does it have to be a game, with graphics? can it be anything at all?
Language doesn't matter. It can be anything. Preferably about the future.
It's a "code" jam, not a "game" jam... Anything you like, anything at all... Just make it about "the future".....
Second? 👀
btw i will not be in the jam bc i can't make a full game in a week
It's a code jam, doesn't have to be a game!
@@javidx9 do you know any programming languages other than c++
@@rainbowskeppy5292 For sure he does. He's a middle aged coder. he'll have played with several languages over the years.
@@rainbowskeppy5292 There's at least one video about using Lua for imbedded scripting
@@jimmyporter8941 coders with his mileage in general know between 5 and 21 different languages, and not just from tutorials, so yeah.
David, recently I've been learning C++. I've been enjoying myself, but there's this OCD-ish thought in my mind that discourages me. I ask myself, would I enjoy it if it wasn't popular? And I'm not sure if I can answer. There's things I like about the language, but I keep wondering, do I only like them because it's a popular language? So much of my motivation to use certain tools is fuelled by seeing what people have done with them. And I fear that if I didn't have that fuel, I wouldn't enjoy them, which makes me think my enthusiasm is fake. What about you? Would you be as inclined to use the language if it wasn't nearly as popular, and you didn't have any sources of motivation to use the language (games you enjoy that use c++ etc.)? Or am I alone with this?
Hey Javid! I have an awesome idea for a retro themed boxing game with Elon Musk as the main character and looking for a dev to write the code. If I could somehow contact you, I'd be happy to share my idea with you.
What religion are you? If you don't mind me asking.
I don't know about the UK, but in the USA, the future is so bleak that it is best to not consider it. Note that I have been thinking this since 1980.
Try Australia for a taste of dystopia.. or Canada, for that matter.
