The NES in Minecraft project is amazing!
Yeah it really was surprising :D
Next challenge: Minecraft emulator on a NES lol
Had my jaw drop on my toes for that one!
back in my days we used C now we use C++ in the future we will use Minecraft and Minecraft++
a couple of years ago I used C++ now I use C
What another great Comunity Showcase as always and what a high standard of stuff on show. WELL DONE on getting your play button from CZcams. Javidx9, keep up the great work. All the best from ‘Speedy C’
Hey Speedy! Thanks buddy!
That was actually awesome man! That was impressive!
@@qwerasdfhjkio you're everywhere my lord
As always, this community amazes me
me too... Nice synth!
AMAZING STUFF MATE! +1 sub!
Is there some bug in the synthesizer? I hear odd noises at the end of each loop. Either it's a bad instrument or you got some issue with the sound buffer play head(?). Project looks cool though, good job! Or maybe the software stutters with frames when he's moving the view around?
@@Mycon Yeah it's not the best synthesizer ever lol
It was my first attempt at audio synthesis
@@DiegoLopesCF if you're still at it and if you created your synth from scratch,
you might be interested in this old episode of Casey Muratori's 'Handmade Hero':
czcams.com/video/hELF8KRqSIs/video.html
(episodes 7,8,9, 19 and 20 are all about the sound buffer)
Yes! It's so amazing you included my project in this video. I'm glad to be part of your community!
I remember last year it was my goal to make it in a community showcase and i'm so excited it happened :DDD
I love how smoooooth your project is :D
Ive studied CS a bit but am only starting to do my own projects now. not even close to these people. the work they've done is amazing.
I love how positive and encouraging you are :)
I joined the server quite recently and it is really nice to witness the creative process on Discord server - also, from my experience, everyone is happy to answer questions about their projects :) Good to see the projects being showcased
Nice one Micky!
I think the Minecraft one is particularly impressive because it shows that the game people bashed as being a "simple kid's game" is much more complex than one may have first thought. Remaking a NES emulator in Minecraft with no mods or 3rd party extensions, only using features provided by the vanilla game, is really impressive. The fact that you can do this in a game that usually revolves around building, exploring and fighting is amazing.
I think some guy made x86 emulator in minecraft, it is very slow but works
@@alexstone691 It could have been SethBling. He made an emulator. Not sure if that's who you're talking about though.
Well, redstone gives you the capability to do any boolean operation, so you can build a machine in Minecraft in the same way you'd build a computer with real logic gates. Don't know why you'd want to though.
I'm blown away, was great to see what you guys have been accomplishing!
Yeah, awesome stuff!
Thoroughly enjoyed this vid and all of the entries. Good job all! 😊
I'm very impressed by the high quality of the entries for this year's showcase, Javid. I'm gutted I missed it but I'm not sure I would've had anything quite up to scratch! Oh and congratulations on passing 100k!
Hi Steve, I'll allow you some extra time for vimto related tomfoolery! Thanks buddy!
This community makes such amazing projects.
For everybody who wants to learn image processing -> shadertoy.com has all you need to write shaders on live input in your browser.
Congratulations to all of you!! Specially to javidx9 for bringing us this channel.
i cannot understand a man like you not in gaming industry.....
Lol, thanks, nobodies ever offered!
This is a fountain of inspiration. Well done, sir!
WOW, all the projects are amazing.
Congrats on the 100k. Well deserved.
Thanks Bikey!
Wow impressive stuff here thanks for sharing! My favourite is the tsunami simulator as it just has an unexplainable charm to it :)
I like it because it shows a project evolving
Awesome work by the community!!!
wow, so much great stuff this year! great job everybody! It would be great to have the projects liked here too 😀
Lots of good work in the showcase. I have to get onto the Discord server one of these days...
Cheers,
"TimZF, you're nuts." Checks out.
ced30's games look amazing. Very inspiring
21:01 Stunning!
NES in Minecraft? Is this guy insane? If u read this man, how long did it take you? :o
He is on the discord - I'll pass on your message
@@javidx9 Thanks man
That synthesizer is amazing!
Excellent choice of music.
So awesome!
Just WOW!
This was great, its a good format, it reminded me of Tony Hart critiquing paintings send in by his viewers.
Bobby’s circuit design tool looks like a lot of fun
Hag and Danicron were cool
Very nice, just joined the discord, hope I can learn some things from you guys along the way.
I hope so too! Good luck!
Awesome vid I loved the logic simulators thought about doing that myself. I have used logisim a lot for stuff like that(made a simple computer with it)and wonderd how I would program it. So it's awesome seeing other people have the same idea.
Gotta get that IDE out and start coding!
@@javidx9 yeah future project though(might play around with it on the side a bit but not focusing on it at the moment).btw I love your channel has helped me a lot with the turn based rpg me and a couple of my friends have been working on.(doing it in java and opengl so not in c++ but a lot of the concepts you have especially the rpg series has helped me figure out how to structure some stuff) So keep up the great content : )
Hey! Nice job with 100,000 subscribers!
Sad I missed it :/
I probably should by more active on the discord
There will be others!
9:00 Well Tbh those kind of failures are even more interesting in terms of effect than successes, i mean, if something is working them you know what to expect, but with those kind of glitches you can expect everything.
Holy S timzf Great job!
Grats on the award
Crap, they are amazing
Good choice
timzf you absolute madman
NES Emulator in Minecraft, reminds me of SethBling...
wow this is amazing O:
The fluid sim was wholely cool. I need chicken.
Is there any source code on the first presentation? I am interested in how he made the GUI along with the rendering engine.
To the guy that made the synth: you might be interested in a library called Juce - I'd love to have your interface as the front end to a VST module!
Abstract question, how do you begin transitioning from self contained projects (ie. a visualisation or a text encrypter) to creating something that interacts with more of your computer or that others can use for practical applications?
The little guy turning into a frog is great LoL
well, this video give me force to try a submit next year
Crimson Editor
i hope soon my project will be here soon
Nice PAL flex. It even starts at 13:37, can't be a coincidence ;) #PALMASTERRACE
Wow you hit 100k? That was fast
Loubitek is amazing 😯
ahh waltz of the flowers
UGGH I HATE CZcams I NEVER GET NOTIFIED WHEN YOU UPLOAD
yes, i have notifications set to "all"
I love ced30 games! Is there a way for me to check out his project (github link) so I can learn from it?
I believe they are on his github, you can reach him via the OLC discord
Also, check out ced30.itch.io for some of their games
Does any one know if there is a nes tanks game? i think i played it before.
woow all those gui. javid, what were those guys using though? for the gui handling
What the hell even is Community Showcase. Oh wait... its explained. OK, ill try to watch.
Ill have to join the community maybe a bit of the talent and motivation will rub off me
Sir, may i ask a question? How is assembly language? Is it still using and there is how much type assembly language?
Hi Deniz. People do still use assembly language. In principle, if a processor exists, there is an assembly language for it. There is debate today as to whether its worth it or not, as the compilers can do a very good job at optimising your source code, likely better than a human can. However, there are still instances where its useful to be able to write it yourself. Assembly language programs can be very large!
javidx9 Than you sir i think i understood . Many source calling intel assemly intel 8086 etc. just I was confused. Is assembly not working AMD cpus or new generation cpus , but i think it is working. Assembly language syntax is looking like playing puzzle and so funny. Just i want to learn it and thank you so much for ansver ^^
@@Meriadoc-Brandybuck I never wrote a single line in Assembly so I'm not sure but I think that both intel and amd processors have the same assembly language since since both of them use the x86 cpu architecture. I think that the language varies depending on the cpu architecture and not the cpu brand or anything else.
Yes an no, but on the whole Yes. The specifications of the available instructions are defined by the feature sets supplied by the devices, so x86 for example defines an instruction set, as does SSE, AVX etc. However, which instruction sets exist can vary across devices so you should test for those if you use strange or uncommon ones. Historically there were also differences in the behaviour of instructions, which was very frustrating! But less of an issue these days. Good compilers can often help you out in this regard.
There's a Pull Request to the OneLoneCoder synth Github repository that could use some feedback!
I still aint got that scan line counter working right :)
Lol, it took me a while too XD
How do i submit?
I've said this on Discord but i'll say it here since makes more sense:
If i had knew you would showcased my stuff in your video, i would've uploaded Breakout that i made on PGE. Thanks for shoutout anyway. :D
There will be future showcases!
My 1st "Like" to you sir, but second one is for Mr. Tchaikovsky.
Can you make galaga that would be so fun to watch
I almost just did in latest video :D
who is the most cyper bully 1-stack overflow users, 2-12 years old on xbox 360 chat
omfg i forgot to submit mine lol
I have got to join your community! I think that I might have found a place that I can call home. Your server is called "discord"?
I have told you a little about my projects, and I know that you and your followers will be interested. I am attracted to very elaborate, complex, and ambitious projects, so they take a long time to develop, and progress usually is slow.
Anyways, I love what you are doing here with your community and your showcases.
HI Gregory, would love to have you join, the service is called discord, and the server is called "OneLoneCoder". There is a link in the description below the video
@@javidx9 I joined! I am a bit bewildered by the mass of content, though. Also. I am using my pen name. I sure hope that it becomes famous!
3:22 I think he's just Australian.
#wretet tete
No no.. you just forget the scan lines, because they were there to be ignored. :D
I can print Hello world
You don't like minecraft?! :-O Damn! I thought you where a decent human beeing!11!!1
Oh, it seems my comment has been deleted :'( Well, the video was very cool though
Hi Stephane, I have no records of your comment having been delete at my end, must have been a YT hiccup.
@@javidx9 Oh, that's strange... I made a bad joke about the missing media at 10:07 "The media is in another castle, Leonardo". I was proud of me !
Why doesn't he like Minecraft?
It's not everybody's cup of tea.
To be fair - You can't really call yourself a "one lone coder" anymore, can you?
first
the project are awesome, but the music is too loud and distracting, better without it
What the hell even is Community Showcase. Oh wait... its explained. OK, ill try to watch.
